Take the battery physically out of the laptop and unplug everyting for a couple of hours then see if it stil lrefuses to powerup. if it has simply overheated this should reset it

if it managed to do enough damage to render the hard disk inoperable then i think its beyond repair

yeah firstly unplug from the wall and try some new fuses if that doesnt fix it then its either the PSU or motherboard

i leant VB.NET using "Visual Basic 2005 Step By Step" by Microsoft Press. If there is a c# version available then i would hughly recommend it

if you have overheated the CPU beyond a certian level you may have fried it :( i managed to fry a CPU by continually putting it under so much starin that the system powered off

you want to try the fixmbr command instead of doing repair - this will reinstall the bootloader [B][U]ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK[/U][/B]
