It depends on Your CPU. If it is 23bit then you must get the 32 bit version. If it is 64bit then you can use either. The 64bit version should in theory be a bit quicker than the 32bit version.

On your Mbam log it says "no action taken". You need to run another scan and get it to [B]remove[/B] what it finds then post a fresh log from Mbam and also from HJT.

If you unplug the second drive, it cannot be interfered with at all. That's what I did when I installed Wondows7 RC. I have 4 hdd's, I unplugged 3 of them during the install process.

Click start, run and type dxdiag. Then save all information button then post the results here. The above works for XP, I am not sure if it does for vista as I don't use vista. Perhaps if you said what OS you have?!?

You cold try resetting your bios. Unplug from the mains then remove the CR2032 battery for about a minute. You will need to set your bios up again afterward but it's worth a try.

You should turn system restore back on immediately and leave it on. It sounds like you need to clean out your old restore points though. You can remove old restore points with [B]Disk Cleanup[/B], just click on the [B]More Options[/B] tab.
