Asking Google that question sees this answer at hit number two on the first page.

Every Wi-Fi network transmits and receives data on a certain frequency, or channel. As Wi-Fi data is digital, many different devices can communicate successfully on the same channel.

The full, detailed, response being found here: https://support.zen.co.uk/kb/Knowledgebase/Broadband-Understanding-Wireless-Channels

Hope that helps.

Brilliant. If you (previous two posters) are going to use the same IP to create two different accounts so you can post as two different people, at least try and remember to post different things rather than just throw the same few words at the screen eh?

I have removed the links from your post as they are not required in order to answer the question, and they could put some off of answering as they appear spammy.

Personally, I would have to agree with rproffitt in that if you can get better with practice then practice. If you can't get better with practice then hire in the talent you need as you need it.

You ask what you should focus on in your second post, something you have already answered in your first: look for great websites on the web and see what they are doing, play around with some designs and try to figure out how to do it better.

Congratulations. You have passed the 'I can cut and paste my homework question' test. Shame you will probably fail your class though, if you think others will do your work for you.

Especially as I note this was your second cut and paste in a matter of minutes - I've deleted the other one and infracted you under our rules. See them here: "provide evidence of having done some work yourself if posting questions from school or work assignments."

Here at DaniWeb we expect you to show us your code, explain when you are stuck and then maybe someone will be able to help you.

So, to move things forward, you'll need to be more specific than simply posting your assignment question and expecting others to do it for you.

Show us the code you have produced so far, and tell us where you are getting stuck, and then maybe someone can help...

Write a question, in plain English, that explains exactly what problems you are having with your homework assignment. Reveal the code that you have prepared so far, and point to the areas where those problems are occuring.

Alternatively, refer to the rules: "provide evidence of having done some work yourself if posting questions from school or work assignments"

Woj: Give it up. No amount of squirming is going to help you escape this one. IP alone means not a lot, IP in conjunction with everything else does. @dtpp/wojciech1 If you really want me to air your dirty washing in public here I will. Needless to say, most folk when accused of being someone else might say 'who?' or 'no I am not' rather than ask for proof. However, what are the chances of someone different but with the exact same troll attitude as a previous troll who was exposed on DaniWeb as a liar (claiming to run a large and successful forum when the actual owner, who diafol spoke to at length, had never heard of the chap) and the exact same modus operandi (slagging off DaniWeb and Dani, claiming to know how best to run it, making demands etc etc) accessing DaniWeb from the exact same IP address in Poland?

happygeek 2,411 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

@dtpp: Voicing your opinion is good. Ignoring everything that comes back in response to your opinion, which doesn't meet your world view, isn't. You continue to respond with the 'roll it back' line, over and over. You continue to suggest that this should be done because 'a group of users' has demanded it when, in fact, a handful of users have said they don't like the new system and even less have called for it to go back to how it was. You wilfully refuse to accept that taking business decisions upon the demands of one or two vocal users, even a small group if your prefer that terminology, would be rash at best and stupid in the eyes of most folk. You continue to state assumptions as fact, despite being told you are factually wrong. These are the reasons I have you down as troll material...

happygeek 2,411 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

No, it isn't only you. However, neither is it a majority of DaniWeb members or anywhere near it. So far, since the chnages went live, no more than a dozen people have posted anything to say they don't like it. Of those, their initial concerns were tempered by changes that Dani made in response to their reasonable suggestions and they went on to say they were OK with it as a result.

What is only you, however, is someone who simply keeps repeating "I don't like it, change it back. I don't like it, change it back" while refusing to engage in any meaningful dialogue beyond that. And, for the record, we don't include 'Dani doesn't know what she is doing' or 'you are all ignorant' as being meaningful.

happygeek 2,411 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

happygeek 2,411 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

And, for the record, DaniWeb has been one of the most responsive of sites that I've ever been involved with when it comes to listening to users and making changes based upon that input. However, that doesn't mean that everything you say should happen is going to happen, nor should it.

happygeek 2,411 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

@dtpp: "And big yes - business (especially the one which deals with users) will be quickly down if they do not listen to what users (no matter how many of them) have to say......."

Here we go again. OK, so you have put your case for the system to roll back as it was, we implement that according to your view of how business should work. Great. Then someone else comes along and says, actually I preferred the new system, so we should then swap back to that right? Do you not see the complete and total folly in what you are arguing for?

happygeek 2,411 Most Valuable Poster Team Colleague Featured Poster

@dtpp: "Dont say that Dani always actively measuring how changes impact upon traffic, and bases her decisions upon that and other factors. Its simply not true here; or Dani does not know how to do it correctly"

Christ on a bike, really? And you know this how? I've known Dani for close on 10 years. I have been an admin here for close on 10 years. I know what Dani does a lot better than you.

@dtpp: "if I saw that changes I made caused drop in activity, Id roll them back without hesitation"

Again, your selective reading process has filtered out the parts where Dani has mentioned that traffic has risen since the changes were implemented, not dropped.

@dtpp: "people dont like it"

Correction, some people don't like. In fact, I think the total number who have said they don't like it on DaniWeb is less than a dozen...

@dtpp: "if she shows her ability to listen"

I suggest you eat your own dogfood here (take your own advice) and do the same.

@dtpp: "why not stop this by doing what we want? Any reason for this?"

Do you seriously think that any site, any business, would run best if it made changes at the behest of a handful of users every time they asked for those changes?

Well it won't be England based upon that performance against Wales. I mean, WTF was Lancaster thinking? WTF was Robson thinking? Was anyone left on the England side with 15 minutes to go thinking at all, in fact? I can't get my head around why Lancaster took off all the people who were playing really well, winning England that game, apparently just becuase that was the scheduled time for some other chaps to have a go. I can't get my head around why Robson, with quite a history of making fundamentally wrong decisions at critical times that have cost the match, chose to kick to the corner. I can't get my head around why England cannot play with the passion and determination of Wales.

What I do know is that without that drive, that passion, that will to win at all costs, England ain't winning this world cup (in fact I doubt they will make it out of the pool of death).

Beyond the obvious NZ choice for back-to-back wins, I'd say that both Ireland and (despite that Japanese loss) South Africa are looking good for the final. Wales, sadly, have too many injuries and even though I've said they have the passion and mindset required to win, they made way too many mistakes in that game against England up until the final quarter...
