i have a dell workstation with 2 ghz ,zeon chip and 512 meg ram and it runs Vista ok ,I'm just using it for surfing righ now .

go to control panel /system/hardware/device manager , hit the plus by your networking lower down in the list ,right click on what comes up when it opens ,go to properties/driver and in there do a roll back driver ,see what happens

I think (will not guarantee) that 1 will restore the factory default and move all your data to a back-up folder. DO NOT use 3, obviously.
If you have multiple partitions use option 2, it will leave secondary partitions intact.

i could certainly could be wrong about this but i think all options will deleted and remove all data from drive ,defently don't use #3 ,how could this function possibly know where you or i keep out important data ,unless we kept everything in mydocuments.

try this i see nit work before for this issue ,
open IE ,and go to tools /internet options /programs ,and down the bottom check off internet explorer should check to see if its the default browser .if it check on check it and close browser and then go back in and check it off again

you should find sp3 in add and remove programs ,in your control panel,it will show up as windows service pack 3

(problem started with video adapter)

I agree with #2 here. Try that first. Then check the web to see if there is a new BIOS update for you. Then proceed to step 1 IMO.

computer boots 1 of10 tries ,what possibly could a bios flash do for it ,

how about some specs on the computer, and the power supply !
like wattage of psu.
cpu size/ram ,hard drive size and OS installed ,ect ect

yeah ,sp3 did cause some errors with flash ,but i search google to no avail ,sorry .

did you hit the right key on the laptop to switch display from the laptop to the tv.

So I got it to extract, what file within this FOLDER runs it, tried several

the one named "setup.exe"

some of the content in the reade me file from the download ,i don't trust beta !

Changed my PSU

did you change it with a new psu. just a used one ,that may have not been any better than the one replaced

start with the flash player uninstall program here ,use it,if you haven't all ready, then install latest flash player ,

I install a new motherboard, i check all the wire all connections and they are good. When i turn-on the machine my keyboard doesn't work.

i know English is maybe not you mother tong ,but this makes little scene to me !

if its not showing in the bios, then its not being detected, and cant be booting fine!

roxie sometimes causes errors in registry after removal .
try this .
Possible Solution......go to Start /run/ type in ,regedit.and do the following,go to file

and backup registry first before changing

There are 2 reg keys that can screw the device......remove them both and reboot......

The keys are:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325

-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} - "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters".

also in my opinion,never update bios unless it says it has a fix in it for the problem you are having

zvsarc.exe, when i google this file ,this thread is the only results found .i would suggest you re-post in our virus and other nastiest forum here, and maybe get and run hijackthis and post a hijackthis log there

i guess this depends on what you do with you computer ,i have 1 gig of ram ,and most all i do is what i dohere ,read post , read the newspaper and burn a few dvd's ,lots of ram for me .i turn my computer off everyday ,maybe twice a day so that clears my ram !

Thats because it loads itself into your precious ram. Openoffice does the same.

no video card wouldn't stop the computer from booting up ,but it would not show any video picture on you monitor ! and if the compute originally worked then you had to have had a video card installed .

my firefox is only slow to open the first time! each day, after that it loads as fast as anything lol

probably was just the power supply !! if you are lucky you may not have damaged anything else ,you got your warning when you first smell something burning !you should have stopped using the computer then and had it looked at .hopefully you did nt ruin the motherboard !

This might sound like a stupid question, however is the RTC battery the cmos battery...?

yup ,one in the same ,real time clock ! and the bios stores the clock/time of the computer on chip called a cmos.

how about making sure the cpu fan in not plugged full of dust and overheating

ok,just did it with nero 7 ,i used the make data disk feature and checked off ,allow files to added later [multisecession],,did it twice and can see all file from both secessions ,just make sure you check the option each time
