although 120 ft,is not really far ,the max for ca5 is about 300ft.if you are using cat6 [max is about 700ft ]cable then i would try a length of that ,signal deteriorates as it gets farther away from the source

also if you can get into windows try bluescreen viwer to get the mini dump info .==================
This facility will produce similar results, mainly if it is the result of Blue Screen problems. It creates minidumps.

Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.htmlthe download link is way down the bottom of the page
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

Thank You -

Than i decided to take the technical help, as one of my frnd suggested, from the iGennie technical solution & there technician just run some commands, and my laptop wifi working fine.
wooow.... thanz to iGennie.

you let some online tech support sitr have access to you computer ,how do you know that the file you had to download wasn't a trojan ,and now they are watching your every move, and what about payment ,i assume you used a credit card ,and now they have your number , or maybe you just a signature spammer .if you are, then i would suggest to other who think your idea is a good one to be wise and be careful when dealing with online tech support ,most are just another scam

first i have to say why would you format your desktop with out backing up you important data !important data should never only be stored in one place .,ok ,scolding you is over ,

this partition recovery software is what i see them suggesting on other help forums ,i have never used it myself,i don't own important data ,good luck .so i won't be much help in that area , not even sure it will even work for you because you formatted the partition ,after check the main page ,click on fee downloads for some more info

is windows install on the C;drive or did you have it on D:

im lost ,removing a power supply from a tower to clean it should not make this happen to a computer ,i have cleaned hundreds of them .and only remember this one ,maybe because it only happened a few mnts ago , ,i cleaned one with can air and when i plugged it back in and it popped something inside and needed to be replaced ,
maybe the psu is bad,got another to try

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

ok, did you install the recommended chipset drive first , then try the sound driver

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

It's got 4 ram slots so all the old ram is in as well as the new ram.

OK, did you remove the new ones then at least ,to try it with the old ram

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Yes the card worked perfectly.

any chance the card has a power plug that got unplugged ,when you took ot the psu to clean it

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague
caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

also just remembered this ,try running windows updates/custom setting and see if it has hardware driver updates

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

one more time i will try ??
when you use the service tag ,does it show drivers for winxp in the list of operating systems ,like my dell .see attachment
its really hard to direct you to drivers for a device we don't know the name and model, sorry

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

of course you cant ,posting way to early in the morning ,lol

so you just bought the new video card yesterday ,did the new card work before you cleaned the psu ,if yes ,try removing and re-seating the video card into its slot

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Something I forgot to mention and only just occurred to me to check again - the headphone aux jack works fine with the same speakers, cables, etc. Does this suggest it could be a fault with the other female aux connector, rather than sound card?

one can only assume so ,

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

a google search of the motherboard in you dell shows people try to do the same thing as you and scan they do show no sound device also .so as i said in my other post ,go to dell site and use you your service tag ,http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=hea no winxp drivers then you are out of luck or you need to find them somewhere else ,and i can find any as i don't even know what sound device you have..

also inwin7 what name is given to sound device win7 installed

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

started to read you post but stopped because of the silly, annoying spelling words with ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

no such word as Cant .

when you use your service tag to go to Dell driver download ,does it list drivers for winxp or just Vista and Win7 .
xp will install default/generic sound controllers ans codecs ,check my attachment

also download and use Speccy to show what devices you have in the laptop ,let it do it scan then go to file and publish snapshot and copy to clipboard and post the link here .if you want ,and maybe we could use that info to help find a winxp driver that will work

Hi. Today I bought a used Hard disk. Now I want to format it completely and check for any bad sectors which HDD may have. How can i do this? Tell me the best way to do it.

I am Windows user. Hard disk is IDE (not SATA)..

hi, it depends on what you have for a computer ,if you have a tower ,install the drive as a slave and ,check in mycomputer to make sure it sees the drive .close mycomputer ,go to start right click on mycomputer go manage ,then disk management and in there you can format it , then i would use a utility from the hard drive manufacturer site to check it for errors.
or you could install it in a usb external case and do the same

how to's by my friend google.com

so,who told you that a battery salesman

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

well, I have dell Inspiron, it has the same problem couple of month ago. I have tried many things, search on google for help by unable to solve the problems.
So, i call the technician for the . I don't know what he did on my laptop. Afer some time when he finished something like executing command he told me that my laptop is now connected. I restart my computer several times & find my WiFi is working fine.

i don't think anyone should give this site a call and let them have access to there computer ,if you need this then call your computer manufacturer, most offer this type of support, i don't think the issue here is with a work/trojan so link in post above is miss leading

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

when i put his service tag in earlier im sure it said it was a ide board ,i could be wrong

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

two drivers i don't think I have installed are an ethernet controller or PCI simple communicatons control

it isn't going to work with out those ,use you dell service tag and download the chip set drivers i think ,if it doesn't show one ,go to networking and download controller from there ,enter you service tag here .
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555?c=us&l=en&s=biz&~ck=mn

this is from my dell ,drivers page and it only showed one device drive ,and the controller driver ,i installed both and it worked .

its already fast out of the box .what are the specs of you computer ,make and model # ,will do .or post the info ,like ram, CPU ,version of win7 you use ect ect

and i suggest you be careful using what you find through Google ,especially registry editors, you will find a lot of software programs claiming to speed it up ,but for best results adding hardware[ram faster harddrive ] ,and stopping programs from running at start up are your best options
