Win 95b is usb compatiable
,I would think the 98 drivers would work in 95.
If you don't have usb install yet on 95 it has to be install , on the win95b disk you will find a folder called OTHERS ,in there is a folder called USB,in there is a install for the usb.

Well a improperly flashed DVD player is a hardware issue isn't !:)

maybe go to manufactor site and get a good flask and reflash it !

You should try a win98 bootdisk ,[havent got one get on here ,http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm,]
FDIS,and remove all non dos partition and create new dos partition ,then boot win XP disk and reinstall windows .

I added the long list of reg changes and the 3 changes that you do on a fresh install and computer is still working !!

I thought maybe you did but you didn't say in your first post what you did try !:)so what did you try .

Ok, I went and looked, and these are the ones that I believe your XP-pro boxes have that my XP-home box doesn't have. You're gonna need to see if these are safe or not to disable though.

Don't forget to backup your registry before you make all those changes to it .
and Yes MBLAST is a virus ,and I think you need to deal with it before you try and tweek your registry .

Maybe a firewall block ,try disabling you firewall if you use one ,before going to the site that won't load .

the new card is not 8x by any chance ,maybe not supported by your motherboard .

go to add/remove programs ,on the left click add/remove windows components ,and in there you will se IE ,un check it and click ok,it should prompt you to repair .now I have never done this as i never have the problems with IE that a lot of folkd do!

Trying to figure out if you did a clean install how you had 21 gigs free on a 40 gig hd.winxp pro[what i use ] clean install is only 1.5 gig .

open address book /file /export.

for emails open outlook go to tools /options /maintenence / click on stor folder and this will show you the path to the folder where the emails are stored go there and copy the folder for backup .

Maybe some sites dont except IE big deal

The Site in question works fine on my IE,as do all sites I go to ,haven't had any that wouldn't load ,that i can remember anyway !:)

Linux uses a program calle wine to use windows programs !!!

something wrong in you IE settings somewere , try Tools /internet options /security and privacy and maybe setting the defaults .and Advanced and restor defaults .
It also may have to do with java as mentioned in above post .

I use IE6 and it loads the login page for me !

Because you say as the day progesses ,try emptying tem internet folder once and awhile ,tools /internet options / temp internet files ,delete files .
Also if that doesn't help try ,Start /run/ SFC and check for corrupt and deleted system files .you may need the win98 cd for this

try starting in safe mode and check Start/run /msconfig and see if any strang looking programs are starting when you boot [and uncheck unnecessary ones] .sounds like it to me !!!!!!:)

hey guys ihave run into a dilemma , i have a usb memory stick with 16 mb of space on it and i dont know how to access it . im running windows nt ,, any help is appreciated

Right click mycomputer/properties /device manager /and make sure that the univirsal serial bus ,is installed and working [no yellow ! marks] .If its installed and working ,when you plug in your new device windows should see it, and or maybe prompt for drivers for the device .
Does it show up in mycomputer as a storage device ,try right clicking on a file and choose send to and see if it offers the device as a place to send the file to!!:)

Also you can download msconfig for win2000 and ME here http://www.techadvice.com/specs/files_st1.asp?fnid=174 ,put it in your C:\windows \system folder, and type MSCONFIG in START /RUN
