that must be the wrong link
Might be CPU,Hard drive ,Ram, video card ,power supply ,Really it could be any one of those things
remove new and reinstall old version
Remove MSN messenger==Uninstall Messenger
You have to edit sysoc.inf (located in /WINDOWS/inf). Under [Components] you should see the following line:
msmsgs=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7. Take the word 'hide' out of the line, and it should look like this:
msmsgs=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7. Exit and save.
Go to Add or Remove Programs, and click on Add/Remove Windows Components. There you should now be able to uncheck the MSN Messenger Service, and by clicking Next it will uninstall.=======

copy/ past from internet search
dllhost - dllhost.exe - Process Information
Process File: dllhost or dllhost.exe
Process Name: DCOM DLL Host Process
Description: The DCOM DLL Host process supports DLL based COM objects and is used by many Windows programs
Common Errors: N/A
System Process: Yes
===========================================
I would also like to add that I went to viper and disabled the process that i thought i didn't need based on what i read about all the processes and my computer would not boot ,i had to go in safe mone and reset them !!
Why not just us a win98 boot disk type fdisk at the dos prompt and check #4 to check the size and howmany partitions and if need be delete repartition the drive .

I'm having the same problem and ^^^that is a lousy solution. This seems to be a really common problem.
This may be a java issue ,try loading java in each profile .

trivial answer !!!
DRIBBLE:Must be some software that I 'm not using ,that people who have problems with IE are using ,because i use ie 6.0 /no sp1,and do so everyday of the week all day long computer runs 15/16 hrs a day 3 different people 3 different profile ,kazaa /bittorrent,supernova file shareing .high speed cable on all the time .I have never had these IE problems .it works as fast this week as it did last week and the week before ,i have use mozilla ,opera and a few more ,always go back to the one i like best/works best !!! :cheesy:
Pick one ,you'll always go back to the one you like best !
http://browsers.evolt.org
my registry doesn't have the internet explorer in that area ,winxp pro
I use to visit overclockers.com a lot a few yrs back and remember readin how some guy would use a radio shack outdoor digital thermometer, can't remember excatly what he did to make it work ,but he place a sencor between the fan and the cpu ,but he also changed wires inside the gaget .
I have the exact same issues with my IE.
I have downloaded and run:
Ad-Aware
Spy-Bot
Purge IEas well as uninstalling any unfamiliar software, and registry keys. I've also looked at the processes running and nothing is unfamiliar there.
I've uninstalled IE 6 to 5, run the "repair" and re-installed 6 with Service Pack.Still running slow!
I have noticed that it runs the slowest on my company's intranet page which has alot of DHTML and JS, plus formfields. It does fine with pages that do not have any form fields or JS/DHTML, but it bogs and maxes out my processor on everything else.
I can almost max out my processor (90-95%) by even moving my mouse around on a page (even avoiding rollovers).I am completely confounded. Can anyone offer any advide other than what I've tried?
Thank you.
Have you tried disabling your antivirus program while you surf
I just hate seeing my IP address in your post !>)
I don't like the little ditti in you post that showes my ip address and service provider ,almost every fourm i go to has someone using one of those ,WHY!:)
My Opinion ,it because the new AMD XP's Suck!:)
right click mycomputer /properties/device manage /monitor /double click monitor and update drivers and load the ones you have for your monitor
{quote}i forgot what menu it's under, but there is an option somewhere to "reboot computer due to a bugcheck" or the like, try disabling that
right click mycomputer/properties/advanced/start up and recovery /Settings. system failure/Automatically restart.!:)
Yes it will ,you could do a dual boot ,have you tried compatiability mode in winxp ,just right click on the setup of the program and choose compatiability and choose win98 or 2k and install the program or install the program and right clik the startmenu/desktop icon and choose compatiability .
There are lots of differences to consider check here .
http://www17.tomshardware.com/search/search.html?category=all&words=monitors
Don't think so ,imagine if people could just get into your computer and fool with your email ,did I say that !:).
Yeah i know what you mean, thats why its important where you buy something ,I'm freelancing right now doing RMA's for a privately owned electronics /computer store that doesent have a database of its inventory setup yet ,I have to go through every slip looking for ser#'s .But i have noticed that they only pay about 150.ooCDN for a 17 in monitor and just around 200$ for a 19 ",so they are not tying up much money on 1 monitor !:)
caperjack: I would have returned the monitor, if I could have. I'm more or less stuck with this piece of electronic crap for the next few weeks before I can get an RMA, while they have another go at it. These (for our economy) are expensive hardware and a return really puts a monkey into their sales plans/targets/declarations. They will eventually take it back, but kicking and screaming.
this might help check out the bootdisk option .
http://cooltech.iafrica.com/swissarmy/howto/260853.htm
Have you tried getting in through safe mode !
All have diffenet opinions here is one I like:)

http://www6.tomshardware.com/motherboard/index.html
if i had a almost new montior acting like that i would take it back where i bought it !:)
Did you format the drive before you started .
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q255867
from your cdrom to a selected drive in your hard disk.Generally, people selects the other drive than the main drive like c so that if you need to get rid of viruses or reinstal
WHAT ???
Did you sheck keyboard in control panel.check its properties also a trouble shooter in there !
try a different cdrom
make sure there isn't a bent pin on the monitor cable where it connects to the video card or try removeing and Reseating the vido card unless you have unboard video of course .
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314056
As stated in the discription its a generic name !! explains why you/we have multiple sychost.exe's on the list .
you could also look in add/remove programs for a strange program that you know you didn't put on your computer .
It looks like it means event source ,having said that i don't know what it is you could look in run/msconfig and see if its there and uncheck it ,so it won't load in startup .i did a google search and found only this .
http://examples.oreilly.de/english_examples/winlog/CDROM/BOOK/CH07/EVENTSRC/EVENTSRC.C
graphics adapter=video card
i would take the power supply from my computer or a spare one if i had one ,and plug it into there's
just downloaded it ,I'm using xp pro and have now problem running it.
the missing dll is a visual basic dll.it should be in c:\windows\system32 folder in win xp,you can download it here ,it should help it work.
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvbvm60
the persional system info one will do !
The million dollar ? Is it a athlon2600 xp you have or are you thinking of getting one .
ok ,if you got the same one i just found in a google search,it has a .zip file exrension and you will need winzip or some other zip program i reccomend winzip ,get the evaluation version here http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm and install it then do this ,
right click on the file and choose open with and choose winzip.
Also i'de just like to mention that this the hardware section and you problems are software issues .Maybe this could all be moved there !!
A little more info do you have it on a different harddrive or on a 2nd partition on the same harddrive
No but get it anyway :)read my last post more carefuly it tell you .
I think most of the newer motherboards today use DDR ram ,I don't think rdram will be replacing ddr ram any time soon .
Info
What is DivX?
DivX is the name of a revolutionary new video codec which is based on the new MPEG-4 compression standard for video. When you install a video codec on your system it basically works as an add-on to your system with instructions how to compress/decompress video in that video format. Once you've installed the DivX codec on your system you will be able to play DivX movies using Windows Media Player or any other DivX-enabled player.
Despite the fact that DivX movies offer better compression and higher quality video then regular MPEG movies they take less time to encode due to the incredible compression technology. The DivX codec makes it possible to compress/encode a full-length movie at near DVD-quality that's small enough to fit on a single CD (700MB). The DivX video is usually combined with MP3 audio to produce both high quality video and audio.
Goto the DivX codec section to download and install the codec.
reboot computer in safe mode and try deleting the file/files
