its only early , if you reported it,then why reply to it
OP,said
with reference to how it is viewed in task manager
just a signature spammer ,because if they were the owner of the site in there signature ,they would already know the answer to there question
Yes, I did.
ok,then i will assume it was a nice even thin coat ,as uneven and too thick it not good, also make sure heatsinc is making correct flat connection to cpu
.
check the bios setting for cpb minimum/ maximum temp setting ,some have settings for max temp before fan speeds up
ok, got this from a friend who works in computer repair shop,he got it from Toshiba ,shut down computer ,Hold down/in the zero[0] key and restart computer, this should bring you to the recovery option,if it still exist on the hard drive
hi,did you apply new thermal past on the cpu when replacing the heatsinc,
your welcome,good luck
and yes ,just download and put them on the usb stick and copy them to the xp computer ,and then they need to be installed ,they should be .exe files so you just click on them to install the driver
your welcome
It is not a laptop, it is a desktop and the model number is:
D51C/P2 4/40/k/256Ad SWI_8 COMPAQ TM
Serial Number: 6S2CKN8ZX22E
evo d51c ,should be the model but all i find in google is d510
Disable all unused services by going to run->msconfig->services .
in learning windows for me anyway it was always said to not use msconfig to disable services ,instead use services in ,control panel/admin tools .
yes a usb stick is the same ,it can transfer any type of file .
i need the model number not just the model ,it shoud be on the bottom of the laptop by the windows key sticker
from the info in you post I'm actually not sure what your problem is with the device, did you use the xp64 software/driver from soundblaster.

Hi,I fix /repair computers of all OS types and i use win7 to download drives for winxp/vista/98,and even MAC ,so no reason why you cant do it ,I would also suggest getting a USB thumb drive, to use for getting the files from one computer to the other, instead of using a cd .
what is make and model of the computer you reinstalled windows xp on .
you can disable all updates manually ,but i don't know of any way to stop all with just the bush of one button ,most upadtes can be turned off in the tool/properties of each program
as for linux you could try one of many live cd's to use just when you are using the G3.
i use from time to time Puppy Linux dvd i created a few yrs back ,it is burnt onto a open secession disk and, im able to save files and setting like browser bookmarks back to the dvd automatically when i shut down.

a one terabyte usb external hard drive would be good i think ,if want to carry it arounf with you ,or if you just want to store in the Clouds try something this site ,
http://www.backblaze.com/
hi,try the auto run repair tool from Microsoft .
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=2648
your welcome ,just glad it worked for you ,good luck
i used Ctrl+ Delete and all my files are gone , i want to restore them back , can i?
try free version of Recuva.
http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva
Which one is it, though.
None is listed as "Display Driver".
sorry ,it would be the VGA driver wim2160.there is 2 there one for windows Vista and one for winxp
my opinion is if not broke don't fix it,so i would just get the display adapter driver
My computer has recently been crashing to BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) very often.
I looked up the TCPIP.SYS error that came up and saw that I should reinstall my ethernet slot drivers. I tried that but it didn't work.
I have attached the last 6 dmp files from the minidump folder.
I am running windows 7 ultimate.
Help much appreciated!
some of the dmp files are from last year.most if not all refer to network adapter/driver.some web sites i checked suggest a bad network device or bad driver ,you updated the driver and are still having same problem ,i would if it were mine ,i would buy a new adapter ,and try it ,for what they are worth it would be a small price to pay to fix an annoying problem .
files shown to cause problem are these 3 and at least one more that i forgot to write down .
iastor.sys
tcpip.sys
netio.sys
You asked me which version of outlook I use, I use Windows Mail.
Thanks.
Raya
right, sorry ,i still thing it has to do with the how the photo being embedded/linked into the email ,good night ,
im in Canada and its only early 8:35 pm
you usually just download them the laptop makers website ,you maker makes harder to do than most ,you need to use the serial number and search for drivers ,it has intel graphic chipset ,if you look on the back of the laptop it should show the serial # and you can either search in the link provided or post serial/number and i can search for you to make sure you get the right one .good luck .

I have tried to save the e-mail with the photo. Cannot save the photo separately as it it in the body of the text. But saved the e-mail and when I tried to send it, the photo was a blank space. Raya
missed that ,i assumed you knew to right click on the photo to save them ,sorry about that

have you checked with the creator of the email to see how they imbeded the picture ,its possible it was linked from the web.
this is a copy /paste from a help forum on same issue as yours ,it explains a bit on embed photos .i think .

just be careful the info/directions in the link doesn't overwrite existing contacts in outlook
have you reinstall the keyboard drivers again? I think this is not a virus issue. There must be some hardware issue otherwise the spacebar button never stuck and probably you lost your keyboard drivers.[snipped spam]
spammer,thanks
did you try printing from with in the email program.
not sure about yours ,but most legal documents are .pdf file types ,that programs like adobe acrobat viewer will open and should allow you to print it ,
besides telling us a whole lot more about you computer ,like make and model # type of display adapter it uses ,did you try reinstalling the latest driver for the device
the second friend I forwarded it to could not see the photos and received a message that the photos could not be found and the photos space was blank.
Raya
this could be a problem with the second friends computer or email program they are using to view there emails
The photo in my forwarded e-mail is not "some silly photo from a crazy web site", but a very important historical e-mail and therefore, it is so important that I can forward it with the pictures. Surely, there is a way to configure this right and I wonder whether someone knows how to correct this. I did a search on Google and there were many people with the same problem, so I am sure that someone at Daniweb would know how to fix this. Thanks.
sorry ,didn't mean yours was silly .
did you try saving the photo/photos to somewhere on your computer, recreate the text of the email ,and then attach the photos you saved and send the email
when forwarding as an attachment it become like an image of the original, that's why you can't remove the names and is why the picture get sent ,i think it has more to do with the way the original composer, composed the email .i use windows live mail too and have seen this happen to some email with pictures after a few weeks also, some of the pictures are gone even before i try to resend them ,i just delete the email ,usually only silly pictures from some crazy websites anyway .
lol. Don't be so hard on yourself. You've probably forgotten more than I already know :).
lol, starting to forget a lot lately ,like not to use this thread as a place to chat
i'm not really that good with motherboards and cables and stuff.
where on the motherboard would the power switch be connected?http://static.pcinpact.com/images/bd/news/91527-asus-p8p67-pro.jpg
in the picture ,somewhere on the white block ,is the wire from the power plug ,the one marked PSW, you motherboard book/manual should show it
if you hold the power button on the front of the tower in for about 30-to 60 seconds it will drain the boards compactors ,unplug the power cord from the tower first
Hey Jack. Your post count has finally gone above mine :). Get a life :P
yeah ,but yours are far more worthy of being posted than a lot mine have become.lol
according to the link i posted above ,it will only go as high a 3.0ghz cpu at 800fsb,you already have a 2.5 ,if it were me i wouldn't spend to much to achieve the extra .5ghz
my guess is its a regular pci slot ,not pci-e ,and the darker slot next to it is a avg video card slot .
yeah i read it wrong last time ,i guess it will use the duel core 3gig in you first links ,as is stated in the link in my other post .the pentium d ,is duel core cpu
I am going with the GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 over the
GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD4 because they are basically the same board but the B3 has no hdmi so I am not buying something I don't need.
i see so many people buying vga to hdmi converts for 100 bucks ,who would love to have hdmi on there board ,some day you might to,one never knows
There is a dvi to vga converter between the screen and the graphics card, but they have been tested to work in another computer.
Doesn't the fact that there aren't coming any beeps from the motherboard indicate that it might be a problem with a broken motherboard? From what I have read, motherboards are supposed to give a single beep to indicate everything is ok. This one is completely silent apart from the fans.
i seen a new build do what yours is doing ,and it was the adapter, once we hooked it to a monitor with a dvi connection and dvi cable, no adapter it worked .
the fact there is no beeps means it not a hardware problem ,if it were hardware ,like ram or video ,then you would get beeps ,the board is working somewhat or the fans wouldn't spin ,is the harddrive spinning ,you should be able to here it or feel it spinning.
and a repeat question i asked in my last post ,did you try booting it to the onboard video,as a google search of your boards model # it shows it has a vga onboard video device
no.. really i'll just insert the cd and my laptop is okay???
NO.it will not be ok ,the purpose of the live lenux is to see if it works on you computer without any problems.what we are trying to help you do is figure out if the laptop has a hardware problem or a software problem .if the live cd works and you can use it for hrs at a time ,then you laptop has a software [windows is software ]therefor a reinstall of windows would be needed to fix your laptops problems
quote="So, It would do this often though. Lately it had gotten quite bad, but suddenly, i haven't had that for some time.".
trying to wrap my pea brain around what you mean ,what time span are you talking .days, hrs, months ??
its 2 or 3 yrs old ,has it ever been cleaned of dust buildup
is it a desktop or laptop computer
how is it connected to the monitor ,vga or dvi cables,no adapters.
and yes it should run fine with one stick of ram,did you apply thermal paste to the cpu when you installed it, board appears to have onboard video ,did you try running it on that and not the Saphire card
agree with you both, not enough ram,and aol is bloated software, add more ram at least another 512meg.
old computers are ok as long as you don't need to upgrade you software to the latest stuff, but todays internet browsers are a big upgrade in software ,the internet is so bloated with advertising ,and a lot of it is in the forum of streaming videos ,just too much for your cpu and the small amount of ram you have
how can i download it ican't boot up on my laptop..
sorry assumed you were using a good working computer to post in the forum .
try ,uninstalling and reinstall the creative drivers
But the DVD ROM is also plugged in the board and is working just fine
what i means in the circuit board on the hard drive ,this has nothing to do with your dvd-rom..
