Hello, Some time ago I bought space at Homestead to build a business website, and located my business domain name there. I've ended up creating my business elsewhere on the Web. I've established a redirect link from an empty index page at Homestead to my new website. I have nothing else at Homestead. I asked Homestead if I needed to add some text description to their site so that the search engines would have something to display, you know, a blurb. Homestead replied that it didn't know how different search engines treated a redirect. Does anyone know the answer to …

I know that spiders are incapable of filling out forms and the like. But if I have links that have been dynamically generated client-side by some simple javascript, are they capable of following these links?

Interestingly enough, the need for mod_rewrite, html extentions, and PR are all becoming devalued in all the newer SE algorythms. 6 months ago a PR 7 would get you super high rankings because PR was so heavily factord into rankings. Up until a few months ago having clean URLs was extremely important. Now, anchor text is huge- links from quality related sites (or even unrelated if you use good anchor text) tells all the major SEs what your site is about. It is called "Offpage SEO". Is anyone here having a go at the Google "nigritude ultramarine" search competition? Would be interested to know how people are doing. I'm giving it a go - not sure how well I'll do. Howard

SEO-Guy is doing a great job getting links to DaniWeb out there. My question now is how long before Google acknowledges this? Usually my PR fluctuates near the 1st of the month. Do I have to wait until July before I receive any benefit?

Do you think it's better to link to your links/rsources somewhere on every page of your site? Or just off of the homepage?

My google PR recently dropped from 6 to 4 on my index page. Is this something to worry about or just the monthly google dance?

This site, for example, is located at http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums - However, it can also be accessed via its domain name www.techtalkforums.com If someone links to www.techtalkforums.com, and is forwarded server-side over to daniweb.com, which domain name would get the PR increase? I know that PR is on a page-by-page basis, and not domain-by-domain basis.
