You guys know when you upload pictures to a site and most sites have a standard format. Example I upload 1000 pictures via FTP it will assort them out in a nice looking format on the web page atomically. This is what I want to do can anybody help if so holler.

Why don't you go into Internet Options. Under Security make sure everything is default. Then go to Privacy tab make sure it is under default then try make sure you restart IE. Get back to us.

You know what I just got back into TAC OPS which to me is fine. Yeah I just got back into gaming but, I am not an exterme gamer. I can go without games for months no problem.

I also don't have a powerful PC for gaming. I still have the ATI RADEON 7200 SDRAM 64MB. At the end of the year when PC Express will be fully perfect that's when I am going to load balance 2 of the highest end video card's and get back into the game.

BTW my choice of a Windows OS is Windows 2003 so gaming is not an option. When I do play I play on a lower end PC. TAC OPS doesn't take much to run. Anywho

So I guess I am going to say "you did have a network" not anymore. Every folder if you right click properties sharing/security make sure the proper admin and/or users and/or admins have the rights to those certain folders. Also make sure you don't have a admin with User/Admin powers because that would really drop him from being a true admin.

Make a long story short make sure the admin(s) have just admin rights nothing more. Get back to us.

Man that is one of those problems that are so werid easy to say reformat but, have you tired doing a "Windows Update" if so go download or find your sound card driver CD. Now is this sound card your using on the motherboard? Please let us know just reinstall your drives from motherboard CD or on the internet.

I agree, it's better give it a day and you will never go back to IE well you will sometimes but, you will like it so much you will never swicth back. Give it a shot what do you have to lose you can always uninstall firefox/mozilla and come back to IE.

Who up for some projects of a life time. These are not easy some may be impossible but, I want the geeks of the geeks to try this one.

Project #1:
Can any one rip out the default picture viewer in Windows XP it's runs in explorer.exe

Project #2:
Can someone rip out the driver support/device installation in Windows XP and drag it into Windows 2000 etc etc.

Project #3:
Windows 2003 has not only ICF it has another "backdoor" firewall somewhere running I want to find it. Example Remote Admin uses port 4899 I can remotely connect to a Win2K box fine. But, when nothing changes I can't connect to Win2K3 box with the same settings. Port changing doesn't do it either. If someone knows about a service I don't or some kind of port block running let me know besides ICF. Just to make it easy no software firewall guys not a newbie.

I will have more projects later I need some help on these and really it's not like I need it tomorrow this will take some time and as for Windows 2003 please don't give me the basic answers or asked me to check the CAT7 cable.

And if your going to explain to me the basic answers and/or it's impossible please I know that I want some help getting these projects done.

Many people love Windows but, they hate the crashes the bugs the problems the restarts the pain. You can do a bunch of things to remove MSN.

In outlook and MSN make sure it doesn't start up.

Go to Start / Run / type 'msconfig'

Go to the startup tab make sure it is gone.

After all that you find MSN is still running just go to Program Files go to the MSN folder and delete it. You need to first end task in Task Manager.

Simple easy 5 minutes check out google for other ways of getting rid of it there are about 500. That's just my two cents.

Didn't make any sense to me but, he is right I did find it on dslreports on a fourm that someone else posted. The file symids.sys is everywhere people talking about it. I agree if your using any NT based Windows box you don't have to worry about it. Remember your not on a old system example Windows 95/98/ME. When you plug something in the PCI slot it will auto resolve a IRQ don't worry about it I give it one more year and the word IRQ will be gone nobody will know what that means.

Cheri what state you living in take it to your local shop if you want to pay money and it's not the big bucks data recovery might be like $50 depends on what store.

I believe system restore is the only type of restore that not only "tries" to restore the system but, also recovers doc you have created but, this all depends on the time line.

Cheri probably best if you look for software that recoverys data but, don't do too much writing to the hard drive or you won't have a chance why didn't you backup anything?

Cheri I am sorry you have been crying over files did you ever back anything up? Now listen your saying only one profile is messed up and you can't log in. No worries log in on another user with access such as with administrator rights.

1. Double Click My Computer
2. Go to the local drive in your case probably the C Drive.
3. Once your there go to Documents and Settings
4. Open the user with the broken profile.
5. Now if you personal files were on the desktop go to the Desktop folder and everything inside of it, is on the broken profiles desktop.
6. My Documents is also there everything is there grab it and transfer it to your new profile of temp profile and seriously do a full backup.

Those are my two cents.

I seriously dump that screen savers. Uninstall it run Windows update run your spyware software and better yet after all that do a virus scan. Be very careful downloading "free" screen savers on your PC.

Your paging file is too small. How much ram do you have and

1. Right Click My Computer
2. Go to Advanced
3. Performance Options
4. Click Change
5. What is it set to? Again how much ram you have? You will be changing the setting in here I would recommand if you do what I do.

If you have 256MB of RAM set the Initial Size to 512 & Maximum Size to 512.
If you have 128MB of RAM set the Initial Size to 256 & Maximum Size to 256.

Simple easy 5 minutes.

LiteStep I am writing an article on it as we speak. LiteStep is a shell replacement it is not a theme or sound/screen saver theme it is a shell replacement just like in Linux. Your under a totally different environment. Still Windows but, not the same errors, not the same problems no restarts etc etc. Your replaceing explorer.exe to litestep.exe so explorer no longer is vaild and/or runs any more. Now let's say your having some major issues just restart the shell not your computer. Make sense? Also this is not Longhorn.

or just replace your shell Windows.
