Why dont they port Evolution to windows? Evolution is IMHO a much better app than thunderbird. Its got like 99% of the features of outlook.

It runs fairly well on windows. Has some issues with speed (i think thats because apple always insist on using custom window borders and controls) but overall browsing speed is about 2x faster than IE7 and a bit better than FF. Fairly stable otherwise

i think thats dispicible. i would expect email spam like this on emails from free webmails such as hotmail but not from an ISP.

im keeping xp for a couple of years - it doesnt hog resources and has everything you need for everyday tasks. XP may eventually become stable after SP3 :) - when it reaches EOL il just proxy it and lock it down like i have done with my NT4 boxes

i think most buisnesses wont like vista as they mainly have budget machines and dont care about DX10 or aero , most of the companies who would upgrade cant as they run nt4 and have like 128 of ram and a pentium 3

You cannot unless you have vista Business or Ultimate. Which do you have? And you cant connect it without knowing the domain administrators password, so he needs to do it. Connecting ti your corporate network without his permission would probably get you in trouble anyway.
