Look at the Event Viewer (Start-->Run-->eventvwr.msc) what caused the problem. Look at the Source, Catagory, Event ID and Description, and use Google to try to find a fix. If you cannot figure out the problem, please post the above information.

Grub is a distributed web crawler. It maintains an index of url's including status information (changed/not-changed/unavailable). The problem is, it uses your cpu and bandwidth and they sell the information to other search engines.

Hex is base16 (0-F) while Dec is base10 (0-9). If you do a 'mov dh,05' then the value of dx in decimals will not be 5*(10^2)=500 but 5*(16^2)=1280. Thus, a 'mov dh, 05' and 'mov dl, 05' is in decimal 5*(16^2)+5, a 'mov dx, 0505h' is in decimal 5*(16^2)+5 as …

Not very familiar with awk myself, but you could try the following: awk -F"," '{print $1","$2",\""$3"\","$4}' test.txt This assumes you use the comma (,) as seperator and that there are 4 columns.

Maybe this page is of any help: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessCardsSupported#head-603c9481d6c6288b6b674cc50132d21f6d539c53 Don't have any experience myself with Wireless USB sticks unfortunately so I cannot give you any recommendations. Copy vrepair.nlm and any used Name Space NLM (eg V_LONG.NLM, depending on what Name Space you use and what NetWare version) to the Boot partition. This way you can unmount SYS and load vrepair from the boot partition instead.

Go to Edit->Find and you'll see the Find window. If you change the Find type to Advanced you'll be able to refine your selection. To search for the last name you've to select Surname. You can use an asteriks (*) to search on a partial name (eg smi*).

You can use Norton Ghost to backup the 180GB HD and restore it to the 80GB HD. Maybe PowerQuest DriveImage can do the same, but I've no experience with that product. And yes, I know it works as I've done it before with Norton Ghost ;)

First of all, it's important to know the exact error message. Are you trying to send the message using the gmail website? If so, then it probably has nothing to do with your firewall. Also note that an undeliverable is always sent by the recipient, not by gmail.

And if you connect your laptop directly to the router instead of the cable modem? Maybe your router blocks outbound port 465? It's always usefull to analyse your LAN traffic using Ethereal. That usually gives a lot of information.

Are you using inetcfg to manage your NICs? You do if you have the line 'sys:etc\initsys.ncf' in your autoexec.ncf. The you can add IP as protocol by using the inetcfg.nlm app.

- What Service Pack are you using? - Can you see anything in the Event Viewer (Start->Run->eventvwr.msc) after you restarted? - Are there any unrecognised hardware devices (Start->Run->devmgmt.msc)? There are many possible causes that stops the shutdown process to finish.

Already tried installing the latest drivers? Make sure you uninstall the Detonator/ForceWare drivers first, then cleanup the mess it leaves behind (use something like Driver Cleaner ) and install the latest drivers. If you're already using the latest drivers then a uninstall/reinstall sometimes helps as well.

Note that the Recycle bin is a GUI/Explorer feature. If you delete files from the CMD prompt or uninstall an application, it does not mean that the files end up in the Recycle bin.

Did you do a complete new install (including a reformat of the partition)? If so, it will be difficult to recover much of the data. I assume that your data is still available because you get the Access Denied error.
