If you just fresh install operating system (mostly Windows OS's), they will use the basic driver to run so it can't run some application and have problems with display and any other devices.

To correct this, you must update all your driver. You can use any batch free driver checker and install for easier method or search it manually which may take more time to install them all.

Okay, first open Device manager and look for it under Display.

Standard VGA Video Adapter or some sort (sorry forgot the real one), check your motherboard model.

After you got the motherboard model, search it with google along with the windows version you're using now...

If I were you, if windows couldn't detect your pendrive, try linux bootable. It usually can detect problematic usb so you can back it up to your computer for a while and format the usb again.

I don't even think type of motherboard matters when installing linux OS's although some motherboard do not play nice with some linux OS's.

I think he meant when he power on the laptop, it immediately turn off without any chances to get into BIOS at all.

Unplug any battery and power adapter attach on your laptop and press the power button at least 20 seconds. Then plug in adapter and battery then try again..

.dll files mostly were a program files necessary for programs to run. where is the "DRMMaindrm" folder located anyway?

the same TCPIP.sys BSOD? Maybe it's not related to drivers at all. Did you have any programs that control networking or downloading?

It could be a registry corrupt since most driver including HDD will automatically update and install on the computer.

Either way. It's all up to user which one they prefer the best but some website don't do well with some browsers like for example government site in my country still prefer IE over Chrome or Firefox.

Well I have tried to find everything that may related to this case but so far I can't even found the right solution although it was confirmed that Windows that mess this up either it's update or some registry tweaking from some software that cause the problem...

Hate to say this but I think reformat would be the best solution there is if you're worrying about time to correct this because I can't guaranteed that I can find the solution for this in such a short time but I'll do extra research again if you would like me to do it.

I think the easiest way to partitioning hard disk is using GParted.
On each HDD, you can only have 4 primary partition. With the one you're in now, you may have this partition setup

Partition #1 System Reserved
Partition #2 Windows 7
Partition #3 Ubuntu

to break those partition limit, you have to convert one primary partition to extended partition and you can create more partition afterwards.

For bootloading (multi-boot), you might have to find another way to make each OS's bootable since I'm only familiar with dual-boot only...

Go and run diskpart, and type in automount to see what setting is currently being used.

It could be that you're not downloading .pdf files at all. Try to check the .pdf again if it was a pdf format file.

From your DDS log, I didn't found any programs that might conflict with USB reading... Possible rootkit infection but I've to pass that too. And I found out that you have other problems besides USB reading error which may not be that much problem for you.

Sorry but I'm already out of ideas for solving this problem now. This could be the last solution for you from me but care to ask other members if they got best solution out. If not, a clean install is the best one although we like to put it as last resort.

Another way is remove sp3 update and go back to sp2 but if you do this, you won't be able to receive security updates from Microsoft since they have stop supporting sp2.

Most of the time user doesn't use toolbar. It was just a waste of browser space and hogging down your computer. You'll notice the difference when you have no toolbar and with toolbar.

If you still use it and you think it's important, then just leave it but I think that could be the reason why your computer have problem. If you refer to someone in spyware forums, they would definitely advice you to remove those toolbars.

From your HJT report, it seems you have installed a lot of unnecessary toolbar that wasn't needed like Iobit, Yahoo, Google, Ask etc. . Remove and uninstall them so toolbar apps won't get in the way. Some toolbars blocks how computer normally works on some occasion.

And type in 'msconfig' under run. Click on startup tab. Disable all startup programs except the one from system32 folders.

Also uninstall Flashget3 for a while, you can install back after this when the problem is solved.

I couldn't identify that this is from virus attacks either. Just to be on the safe side, if problem still won't solve, download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and install them on your computer. Update the software and run full scan after update is complete.

If it indeed found viruses, I'll redirect you to another forum and let some volunteers help you remove other unwanted malware and stuff.

Sorry for being absent for a while. I always unavailable on mondays so seeing you replies this much I feel I have ignored you out.

But on the positive side, congrats that you managed to run all USB devices on Puppy Linux and thus pinpoint the exact problem. The only thing to correct is your Windows.

It's strange for DDS.scr though. It would come out Command Prompt and it would come out with text like this

"DDS scan now running on silent. DDS will produce two logs for you after system scan is done"

^ I just wrote this from my brain memories so it would be different from real message but it should be similar.

But if it come out as 54# signs, use HJT tools next. It was not as powerful as DS but it should bypass any error it encounter.

If it's windows XP. Right-click on the network icon and select properties. Then under 'Internet Protocol (TCP/ip)', select properties. Check the DNS setting and set to auto.

Copy the DNS IP on your Notepad if available so we can backtrack if this solution failed.

For manual dns configuration, you can use Google DNS or Open DNS IP address and just copy to the DNS configuration. Apply after done. Check if the connection is fine or not

Actually yes, you can do that. First off, you need image for the border (.jpg, .png etc.) And then paste to your word project. If it was oversized or too small, just drag all 4 edge to end of project corner. If it was impossible, read below.

Then once done, you'll have bordered project but not done yet. To fully utilize and do extra typing, right click the image, select 'Text wrapping' and select 'Through'. Now you can write with bordered project. Set image as 'Through' will also let you adjust the setting of your border image when doing it after pasting is impossible.

There is. Use wubi. It'll install Linux (Ubuntu apparently) with Windows side by side without repartitioning.

If you want to install linux, the best way is to repartition from linux installation itself. Linux use their own partition (ext2,ext3 etc.) so Windows will not detect your linux partition later on. Linux can also install on NTFS partition format but much slower compared to ext foramt.

You can be someone else but you can't escape the fact that you are yourself and nobody can replace you as yourself.

Well I would say windows xp is the ideal OS for uses than the windows 7, because windows xp got the priority to support all most all the software, but windows 7 is limited for only particular software.

That was when windows 7 first came out. Now most support are on Windows 7 and Microsoft has stopped supporting XP now except XP SP3. Stop linked signature troll already...

The Microsoft message were not that important. It just show what windows you're using and usually appear in safe mode. Yours using xp sp3 so it's the latest and final xp you can get.

I guess you have a point there since services and drivers weren't the culprit. It's proven from safe mode which disable all services and use only default xp drivers.

It must be some programs conflicting that create this mess somehow. Download DDS scan from HERE and run it. Afterwards it'll create two logs, DDS.txt and attach.txt. Copy paste both content here.

And this is optional, just to clarify windows is the one making a mess. Download Puppy Linux from HERE and once done, burn it as CD. (This is on .iso format so you can just double click the downloaded files and windows will burn it for you)

Step 3: - When boot screen show up, quickly press Del button. It should enter BIOS

For this, I would say send one of it to the supplier (Prestop in this case) for new replacement. Changing motherboard serial numbers is too risky. Done it wrong and it would be a brisked motherboard with warranty void.

Switching MB serials does break your Windows if your windows was OEM version. But weird thing is this is the first time I heard it uses identical motherboard serials although in most cases it should be different. Are you sure both motherboard serials were identical?

I also use torrent whenever I stumble upon some really insane big files which download resuming is impossible. Torrent isn't illegal, content is but not all content have illegal files.

Torrent is like another p2p programs but from this much less malicious attack than other p2p. To make it even lesser, choose only torrent that is trusted by most people...

Photoshop and GIMP has the addons to convert such files. While I prefer doing it manually, if you already have either one, you just need to find a good add-ons. And what's good about it, it capture frame by frame and you can just delete any frame which is unnecessary before it would convert to full .gif format...

I would say that either your motherboard or even worse, your processor is already spoil. Replacing heatsink would do the trick but it failed on your problem.

Check again to be sure...

- Your heatsink need to be reseated properly (most case were always this)
- Reset your BIOS. This will resolve some overclocked issue...

If reseating won't do any good. Then yes your processor is already at it's end. It's time to replace it or buy a new computer altogether...
