try naming the drive "Transcend JetFlash V30" like what you said it should be named.
if that doesn't work then, yeah probably email tech support or get it exchanged.

One thing strange i noticed is:

If I go on the Security tab and click ADD and then click the Advanced... button it says

normally, you would click advanced, then add

I have done some online searching and found that the problem could be that your servers are not in sync. Also make sure server IP addresses are static(not automatically assigned by DHCP).

Now I just happen to be drunk as hell. i forgort how ..what is 1 million divided by ten divided by ten dividided by like ten times. who cares? just do it .. rate me down when you don't understand, but make sure to never rate me up when i actually do decided like i can help,,squash this thread.. it has been pointlessly disected. way beyond necessary

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

you need a recovery disc or Windows install disc to run recovery

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

another thing you can check, type 'msconfig' into the run...line(from start button)
check the services tab and startup tab to view &disable programs

you should update to sp3, and get the latest security updates

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i think you need a router for each subnet anyway
/25 has 128 addresses
/26 hosts 64, etc.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i use windows7 and i have found what i was looking for(sort of)
control panel->hardware and sound->sound->playback tab
select a playback device and click properties
select custom tab
there are 2 checkboxes:
'switch line-in to rear output' and
'switch mic-in to center/LFE output'

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

usually it is all automated. they are not actually sitting by a screen, snooping through your computer. Zombies are used mostly for ping of death. the master sends out a command to all known zombies(millions) and this command activates a file that resides on the zombie machine(probably a cookie or bit torrent program). the file is what executes commands directly, sending out pings.
i actually do not know any more than that. and i actually do not know all the details, but i hope i have helped out a bit.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

your email provider's smtp address can probably be found on thier website. i say 'probably' because some providers' plans don't support the use of Outlook(or other email handlers) unless you upgrade your plan. when you do find the smtp address. check to make sure it matches what is in your account settings in Outlook.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

you can unistall/reinstall outlook express

but that requires instruction, another email provider may support larger attachments.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

actually, perhaps your browser is set to 'work offline' or something similar, this happened to my neighbor 1 month ago. but i had to walk over and check his computer in order to find out(just easier than over the phone) ;-)

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i am also very interested in how to do this,

i have thought about installing one of the extra PCI sound cards i have, but it just seems like it would be a waste of time...

is it a waste of time?

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

try msconfig

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

by philphan->There is absolutely no need to reformat the computer to fix this problem.

I agree, but perhaps the user is not as skillful as you & your peers. I still stand by my original recommendation(easiest because it is the easiest to understand and do)

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

easiest thing to do is erase your computer, back up what is important to you, then find somebody who can take care of the situation(i can)

jholland1964 commented: too drastic at this point -3
skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

if not, call the cops, you are getting on my nerves

Ezzaral commented: Then perhaps you should just stay out of threads where you can't offer anything useful? -4

tell that person to remember the password, they are an IT Pro teasing you

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

darn

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i have noticed NVIDia is plagued with problems...just thought i'd add my own personal opinion. AGB is better than PCI when it comes to graphics

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

best answer is to force the password guy who said he 'forgot' to remember....
he is a jerk.
i can help you if he won't.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

you need a new computer....
respond if you have more questions, such as 'why?'

i can tell you how to make your computer more efficient.
you should have at least 2GB of RAM to compete in today's society.....
but i can still help...700MB is operable....but you won't have any fun

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

please provide more info

am currently unable to translate/what are you trying to accomplish?

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i also wanted to add that if, you are truly worried, there is steps you can take to de-zombify....such as erasing your computer, etc.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

usually, if your computer is a zombie, you are not the target.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

what you can also try is go to Advanced tab of System Properties (r-clck, computer).
click 'settings' button by performance. For the "visual effects" tab, choose "adjust for best performance". This will turn off windows Aero.

or buy a video card,
or Vista might be ok to use.

Requiremants for Windows7...:
1 GB RAM for 32-bit. 2 GB for 64-bit
1 GHz or faster CPU(processor)
128 MB Aero Capable Video Card(VRAM)
DVD Player
16-20 GB Hard drive space

type IP address& http address as shown in example in next line of file and save. this is that joke about bypassing external dns

For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
#210.210.18.57 www.onlinesbm.com

but remove #sign, save, you may have to take ownership to save changes to the file(it's not normal)

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i assume all other sites are working, then? check content tab of internet options, disable content advisor if it is enabled.
what does say when you cannot connect?
check C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts (open with notepad)
if you see your website listed on this file, delete it

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

hopefully cause it was pretty quick 3.4Ghz pentium4 dual core!
i tried many, many thimgs as that IBM slowly died, cleaning, cpu cream,
a big possibility was broken circuit at the psu socket due to many components&wires jammed together in too small of a frame.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

well,i'm certified in some things, i don't think you are lying. you should tell them you are going to call the BBB on them ha!
the question is: did they say it was compatible/good with your machine? a good company provides product matching automated right on the site. give them a one more chance to replace. if they at least cover the shipping(or something)

but i would get my exchange part replaced for free at least, and then call the BBB ha!

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

you should uninstall all of your network adapters from device manager, then right-click any device, and choose 'scan for hardware changes' and the adapters should be detected and drivers auto-installed. you will have to re-enter your wifi network settings.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

would you paste the output of this here so we can check it?
C:\Users\youruser>ipconfig /all

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i just remembered the exact same startup event order happened to me not too long ago with BSOD just before welcome screen. i was trying to boot from a .vhd but my machine doesn't do hardware virtualization(too old).

should try putting hard into another machine
aha! do a search for 'startup repair download' i just did and found plenty freeware. then you can make your repair disc.

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i know a great practical joke to pull by overriding the DNS if i have logon to your computer. so when you go to your favorite site it will take you to the site you hate.
ha ..seriously though how long this been going on?

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

my theory is fried CPU, but i need another CPU or MOBO of same socket type to test...

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

no, at least 2 per server(node) to ensure validation is successful. according to the OAC microsoft 70 646 exam book. there is also 5 more requirements for validation, i can tell you those
*nodes must be 2k8 datacenter or enterprise edition
*must have same level service pack installed
*nodes' computer accounts must be in same domain and organizational unit
*must all be member servers or domain controllers, but not a mix of both
*must all have same cpu architecture (32-bit,64-bit, IA64)

thanks for helping me study!

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

to display "run" on start menu:
right click the taskbar, choose properties->
choosing start menu tab, click customize...
scroll down to run command, fill in checkbox(and whatever else options you choose)

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training
skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

right-click(rclick) the space itself, in disk management mmc)
menu will pop up

@caperjack thanks i will i like that idea of a cd hard drive
i would just add rep comment but it seems to be glitched past couple threads for me

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

yep.. it actually took me a few tries to get mine set up with xp & 7, because my hard drive is only 40GB! 20GB each for me!
-edit one of these days i want to install Linux, as well. when i get more space then i can try the Linux world too!

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

oh, no problem..now i remember what dynamic dns is...i had forgotten about that..it does make sense to me that dynamic would possibly be a little slower...but probably only right after your WAN ip gets changed. mine is dynamic, but i don't pay attention to it, because it rarely changes:)

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

some are right-handed, left-handed, ambidextrous is my guess...

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

did you format the remaining 58 GB?
click start
r-click computer
click manage
open the 'storage' tree
click disk management
r-click the RAW space and click format...NTFS(quick or not)
install 2nd OS on that partiton...get it working...restart computer and boot to windows7 install disc (again) choose 'startup repair'
this should fix your boot file for dual-boot

it would probably be easier to install win7 last...(to auto config the boot file)

P.S. with the newer computers, you can boot from *.vhd files (create virtual hard drives from disk management mmc)

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

The problem i see with that is: how are all the DNS servers going to know an address that keeps changing? it's like trying to find a homeless person(they're always moving).perhaps you could just use the variable 'x' for the # in the real address, then have the alternate address displayed everywhere else within the HTML code?

-edit, uh nevermind , i think read the post wrong

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

you need to set static IP addresses(for microsoft, i don't know Apache)
i really don't think DNS will work without IP addresses...
unless you're creating a new DNS system for the world :)
were you using IPv6 or 4?

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

i have no laptop experience, but most electronics are like that. just like a cd player that has the wrong power supply adapter. not exactly enough power, it'll barely work. too much and well, i never tried that yet!
someone i knew tried hooking up like ten car speakers to one stereo amp(by splicing the wires)! it burnt of course. we were so young i can laugh about it now
point is we all been there. you can still fix it, right?

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

I know it is one of the included roles, probably Active Directory with network load balancing
-edit, you might need more than one server(not sure)http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732855(WS.10).aspx
there is probably a simpler solution out there, but this is one

skilly 23 Posting Whiz in Training

sounds like the same hardware problem as the broken IBM in my hall, something is fried, but i don't know what. i think maybe the processor is overheating. try cleaning the heat sink & processor(professionally).good luck to us both!
