Re: Keep in mind that, whole getelementbyid is pure JavaScript, the attribute selector is from the jQuery library.
Re: Hahaha yup, we've been through quite a handful of incarnations between those and since!
Re: I had the same problem and I'm not using an OAuth library. Either way, I just added a # at the end of the redirect URI to clear out any other hash it wants to send you to.
Re: It works for me. It's hosted by Google via Javascript. Do you have an ad blocker by any chance that could be killing it? Either way, it's the same way we used to do search so not sure why it would stop working for you.
Re: I'm trying desperately to see what happened. I introduced a bug somehow, somewhere, that is making these specific templates render very slowly. Fetching all the data is no problem.
Re: I'll investigate. However, I'm pretty swamped at the moment completely redoing our entire forum structure. :-P
Re: I'm sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by making the background liquid? Encase everything in `<div class="container-fluid">` and encase all of your columns in a `<div class="row">`
Re: > When I click
button, instead of letting this window be 100% of height, let it be like 5 rows and let it enlarge as user types/copies things in it We had an auto-expanding editor previously, and ran into browser-specific issues that I couldn't reproduce, that was making posting …
Re: Yes, I had all the templates redesigned and ready to go, but I forgot to add the links to the footer.
Re: As opposed to what? Do you mean all in caps with underscores as a naming convention? What else would you name it?
Re: I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused. You were never able to vote for yourself? ![]()
Re: Can you please forward them to me? dani@daniwebmail.com Thanks!
Re: It's not my field, but I see both Pinterest and Imgur as targeted towards young people / housewives / etc. I don't see them as business outlets, the way I might with twitter a bit more.
Re: Let's face it, Google Plus sucks. It's fine to be late to the game (Facebook came when MySpace was already a hit, Google came when Yahoo!/MSN/Ask Jeeves were a hit), but you need a game-changing idea to win out. Google+ just isn't that radical to make anyone want to make …
Re: I know that there are a few versions of this at www.dynamicdrive.com - they're done in DHTML.
Re: *Every. Single. Time* that someone installs a buggy browser plugin/toolbar that screws up DaniWeb, complains about it, and then I spend hours trying to isolate which users have a problem that I can't reproduce.
Re: > Here are 3 of the best free ways to get targeted followers. So what are the 3 ways? Or did you just plagiarize this paragraph?
Re: We've been having server issues the past few hours. Can you explain what you mean by "it's not working". What, specifically, is wrong?
Re: I'm confused who the targeted audience for this drive is. As you say, consumers aren't really in dire need of a terabyte of storage right now, and high end people and people with servers are going to want more than the slow IDE connection when things like SATA and SCSI …
Hey everyone :) Sorry I've been kind of absent from DaniWeb for the past week or so. I was actually working on a new side project. It's close to launch now, so I wanted to share it with you guys. https://www.dazah.com Keep in mind this is less than two weeks … ![]()
I know that Windows 10 is now out, and it would make the most amount of sense to either rename our current Windows Vista/7/8 forum into Vista/7/8/10, or separate them out into Vista/7 and 8/10. However, due to all of our recent issues with Google, I'm trying to avoid any …
Re: > I replied to DaniWebs email to let them know how stupid they where to push this when obviously they never even checked it out It's a bit funny that you are mad at me for not having given Dazah a thorough investigation before promoting it to the DaniWeb community. …
Re: Unfortunately with forums, it's not true that build it and they will come. If we went ahead and created a new forum, that new forum would remain empty. As pritaeas says, our Web Design forum is most appropriate here (although I understand that you might not be talking about web-based …
Re: Not worth it anymore. I don't even think Dmoz is maintained anymore, and Google Directory no longer uses it.
Re: Did this just start? Did you just recently update Google Chrome?
Re: Not that I know of. If you have Chase, and you want to send money to someone else with a Chase bank account, there is Chase Quick Pay. Really don't know anything else as common as PayPal though.
Re: No, it's cached on our end, Jim. Our activity stream is heavily, heavily cached, and doesn't take into consideration post edits for an absurdly long time.

Re: We have been having email server issues the past few days. The email server was malfunctioning for most of Saturday, and the number of emails in the queue created an enormous backlog. With regards to email alerts for updated threads, we send those out in batches once an hour. You …

Re: Currently running an experiment where it opens by default. If you close it, it stays closed for the rest of your browser session, but then reopens again the next time you visit the site.
Re: It's not a bug. Our web traffic has just been super crappy lately, advertising revenue is down, and donations are way down too. The pool in which we pay cashouts comes primarily from donations, with a little bit extra thrown in from ad revenue to cover everything. Unfortunately, what happened …
Re: I agree in that Facebook is probably your best bet. When it comes to brick and mortar, I've had much more success with Facebook than I have with Google Adwords, personally. But when it comes to promoting DaniWeb, I've had AMAZING results with AdWords and terrible results with Facebook.
Re: Haven't heard this before, although I did hear that Google is interested in possibly acquiring Twitter.
Re: Can you explain what cin.ignore actually does, and why we need to specify some randomly large number? Is there no command to just clear the input buffer of the newline character?
My Mac address book syncs itself with my iPhone. Somehow (I think through Microsoft Entourage??) it silently added contacts to the address book for everyone I sent/received an email to/from. I now have thousands of contacts that have an email address only with no phone number, and I don't want …
Re: You won't be getting any emails. |
The End.
