What do you mean "nothing happens"
Have you tried opening a new window and copying and pasting the contents and re-saving it as a new file?

Not sure, I've been working with my mac today and I haven't seen an "uninstall feature"
However if you've removed the QuickTime app from the applications folder I would think it should be gone now..
I don't see why you couldn't use it (unless theres some legalgity issues here..)
You should be able to boot from the other macs harddrive by use of a firewire connection.
Disable ZA, that is the most annoying peice of software ever. Get rid of it on the machine if you can/
Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Click on Set up a home or small office network.
There is a setting to setup ICS or Internet Connection Sharing, follow the directions, its really stright forward.
I suggest downloading the newest version of AIM and re-installing it. normally this should clear up the probem
What version of windows are you running? I am guessing ME or 98 due to the fact you needed to download IE6 :/
Uninstall it, chances are you really don't need a personal firewall, its not going to be doing any help but consuming internet resources. ZoneAlarm is one of the not so good ones IMO....
I've seen alot of problems similar to yours with ZA and a few other free ones
Does your free webhost have mysql included? If not, its not going to be worth your time...
Sure, if they are already conntected wirelessly you should be able to setup ICS on that wireless connection.
however.. the browsing speeds are going to be slower than normal due to the shared connection..
Sorry I really don't understand your post, can you try explaining what you want or poisting a better question?
Sounds like you haven't configed php with IIS.
You need to install php so IIS can understand php and spitout code for you.
I'm not sure how MSSQL version of phpBB runs but it might be simplier unless you know MSSQL very well to install mysql and let phpBB make use of that.
welcome to the community.
Alternate way to do what? What are you trying to remove specificly?
You can try
Start > run > control
Which should bring up the control panel..
I would think the best way to get the job done would be to do a browser check and feed the correct snipet of CSS :) but thats me...
It might be PSU related, but not in the way you think, it sounds like your computer and power supply are overheating during game play and shutting down.
Check and make sure all of your fans are working and that you have a heatsink rated for your processor.
I'm with catweasle on this, lack of sound drivers is usually the cause...
Their printers are even subpar, a good printer has seperated ink tanks.. not combined..
This is again for their entry level items, high business class hardware is a differnt story.
/me shrugs
Every company does that no a days, I stay away from everything low market end from HP, Compaq, Gateway, eMachines.
I use Dell for any non custom work I do, and they haven't lead me wrong so far, every big server I have is a dell box, even my home dev server is a dell, as well as my laptop.
They "prefer" .html pages over dynamic pages, but Google doesn't care, they spider forums just fine, take a look at vBulletin.com for example, ALOT is indexed
this is sorta old now... but danni as long as you know the root password for mysql you can install phpmyadmin on any webspace and have it connect (assuming it is allowed to connect from that site (if its local its not an issue)
They are all doing somthing important, don't worry :) (not that I know specificly off the top of my head, but alot of important sevices are started via that process)
Your monitor should not be effected by your power supply in the least bit...
The only thing I can think is that A) your video card doesn't have enough power to work, or B) you shorted something during the instalation of the new ps unit...
I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would cause this problem. I hope someone else will be able to be of more help.
-note I moved this to the correct forum :)
Sounds like you don't have a media player or the codecs nessary to play the music.
You should take time to update to the latest WMP and you might want to try getting winamp as well :)
I'm in the USA...Ohio....Thank you all the way to Australia!!!!!!!
Suzie depending on where you live in ohio, there are a number of computer shops here.
If you are ok with ordering online newegg.com is a great site :)
To be honest, I've never used fusetalk, or even been on a fusetalk forum. If possible I would try to run with a php/mysql or asp.net/other enterprise db type application :)
AFAIK, python just works, something like Perl just works, no need to compile :)
You do need a way to run python however :)
If you could tell us more about your PC, who makes it, what its modle number is.
:)
Welcome back :)
Who cares about the W3 Standars? Geeks who have nothing better to do with their time...
I'm being very serious here, follow the W3 Standards, but do not believe it to be the word of god.
I could spend a few months aruging, but the fact is, if your website, looks and works the same in every browser, It wouldn't matter if you had millions of errors.
You need one and want an example? or you want help in figuring out how to program one?
I think you're looking in the wrong place ;)
Honestly? My mini has to be the quietest computer I've ever owned.. my main tower puts out alot of noise...
Try looking for small form factor cases, and remember, less noise means less airflow, which means more heat.
Becomeing your own hosts requires investing money into a dedicated server...
Well I should say the right way. You might be better off just finding a good hosting provider and paying monthly for it :)
Its just a registry tweaker...
You might just want to buy an SATA PCI controler card, if they make such a thing :)
and this was the only thing I could find on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815102102
Hi Graham,
If possible it would be best to get him on WinXP or 2000, as 98 will offer a load of security issues.. but thats just my two cents :)
If you pop in your win98 start disk you should be able to use fdisk to remove the non windows paritions :)
Like everything else, a proxy can be used to avoid that :) I know! I did it :D
It really depends on your application.
If you are going to be running asp and asp.net apps there is NO REASON to run apache, because theres no support for it
If you are going to be running a php site, you have a 50/50 shot, with it, depending on your setup and your specific NT OS
Well like I said, if you are going to be running ASP.net apps theres no logical reason to run apache ;)
Abit more insight would help one way or another. Apache has been around a long time, and is a long standing httpd server in the linux world, less used in the windows world, since its time tested and tempered it has less security issues. It will run about par with IIS in terms of real world preformance at least in realition to php / mysql sites.
DB,
What sort of applications are you going to be running, do you have a choice between linux and windows or, windows running IIS and windows running Apache.
How much expirence do you have with IIS over apache?
Are you confortable with config files or do you need a UI ?
My company outsources to save money. Why pay Americans $20-40 an hour when you can pay folks in other countries $6-12/hour? American's don't need good-paying jobs. Except for CEO's. They need to earn $500/hour because they are so brilliant that they thought of outsourcing.
The best part is that someday we'll make robots that can do our jobs and then we can insource again; this time to machines earning $0/hour.
Prey that I never meet you in real life, or you will be a sad sad person.
Outsourcing can be a very good thing, if you are a company that makes printers, and you want to provide paper, too, why on earth would you try to get into the paper market? Instead, you would find another company, and outsource the work to them.
Like if you are a legal company and you want to get pens, you wouldn't create a whole new devision of your legal company to make pens, you'd oursouce the work to another company.
What happened is, they took it too far, outsourcing alot of jobs to other countries where language issues arise, like dell with their tech support, and as someone else said, hidden costs. Your overall customer satasfcation will greatly decrease when their are communitcation problems.
There is a reason to pay a worker 20-40 dollars an hour, they do it better. Why in gods name would you move your entire IT support devision to china and …
What kinda of video card do you have, all the CPU power and ram in the world is not going to help without a good video card.
Yes I was joking :)
I've added the connection in Dialup Connections
You said this, which means you are using a DIALUP connection, to connect to your VPN, which requires a modem, you want to use an exsisting connection :)
I can play HL2 on 1280x1024 on meidum settings on my R8500 with no adverse effects :p thats power.
There must be some software that can do this for me, Does Nero have such facility?
Nope, either they can read it, or they can't, period.
For a personal prefrance
IE is going to win for me every time, its not crappy, it doesn't have UI quirks, and its intergrated into windows.
Firefox takes 2-3 seconds to launch on my pc, and it has those ui quirks, and its going to have its own hole slue of issues, sooner rather than later I think.
Then how do you intend for a modem to make the connection to the vpn ;)
