Linux is not our Saviour, its another N/OS that does somthings better than others, but remeber there is also UNIX FREEBSD and MacOS which are all NOT windows.

Linux has its up sides and its down sides, and if anyone of you tell me that linux is just better than windows your just a zelot

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

youll need a router in the long run

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

i dont know but i dont think this kid should give up his site for anything less then 100,000 dollars, jst because he isnt violating any copyright laws, i wouldn't think jst cause the name sounds like microsoft doesnt mean ppl are goin to get it mixed up. everyone in there right mind knows you spell it microsoft and not mikerowesoft its jst plain stupid that microsoft is that bad about every little thing. they jst need to quit worry about all this little stuff and focus on there software they are putting out so there software doesnt start goin thru the crapper :) and maybe trying to fight off linux and the Open source community which i dont think they will be able to do. but thats not what this thread is for talking so i will end it now :)
/end rant

I know I said this before but this time I'm serious. I'm going to reformat and start XP fresh and clean. Here's the deal though, slash current configuration setup. I have an 80GB Maxtor which is the primary drive, and a 20GB WD for backups, MP3s and pics. I have ANOTHER identical 20GB WD in my drawer from when I had a RAID-0 array (so 2-WD's and 1-Maxtor).

I'd like to get my raid array back using the WD's but one of the drives, as I mentioned, is home to all my backup stuff. SO.... Question.... If I transfer my backup stuff BACK over to the primary drive, get my Raid going and formatted with XP installed, will I run into problems booting up since my old drive (the maxtor) has an OS onboard still? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but maybe someone has a trick or something they can share with me. You might ask, well why don't you just put it all on CD/R? Well... because about 14GB of MP3's tells me that would take a LOT of disks.

Hope that all made scense.

well first off, id suggest moving your primary to a 20gb, and keep it ONLY for your most needed applications and windows it self.

use your other drives for backup. my current OS hd is just 20 gigs and it makes it a breeze to reinstall and backup :)

3hd's and one DVD/CDRW and you got everything youll ever need …

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Seto, we have tryed to help you as much as possible, if you dont have a windows CD your basiclly screwed, id suggest going about purchasing one.

How did you even get XP onto your computer with out the disk?

id suggest asking if any of your friends have a windows 2000 disk that they will let you use to reinstall windows with.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I have been using Mozilla since version 1.0 (under both Windows and Linux) and have never has a problem with frames or CSS, nor have I had to make any changes to settings -- in fact, they can't be turned off, since CSS and frames are parts of the W3C-compliance standards and Mozilla is more compliant than IE. There should be no problems with Mozilla itself.

I would suggest downloading the full Java engine from Sun -- for starters.

If your frames are inproperly coded that could be why ;D

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague
