Had a similar issue on an old R30. Needed a BIOS update. Check lenovo/IBM site for more information ([U]dont[/U] try updating the BIOS unless you are sure this is what you need to do)

You need to set it up to use smartcards and request control-alt-del via local security policy and the users/groups management console This is only easialy available on business or ultimate, it requires a bit more tinkering to get it to work on home

Are you using binary trees? For something like a dictionary thats proobably the most efficient it halfs the search field each time it does a comparison so for lots and lots of nodes you only need a small number of compares (assuming its balanced)

That means you have the keyboard layout set to US and are using a UK keyboard or vice versa. In Xp go into control panel -> regional and language and make sure everything is set correctly.

Yeah CSS is probably a bit more portable than javascript too Dont rely on hovering for your enitre navigation though or it will cause problems for users with non-pointing devices e.g touchscreens
