Have you run any virus scans recently?
If not, run several scans:
CCleaner
Ewido
Panda Activescan Online
All are free, and Ewido & CCleaner need to be installed.

I think its part of Norton, but I'm not positive about that.
However, if it's part of Norton, and you've already uninstalled it, I see no reason why you can't just delete it. :)
Thanks.
Audioslave
Several things to check out.
1) Any chance your mouse is faulty?
2) You might want to check out your mouse's settings and be sure double-clicking is possible. Oftentimes, variables such as speed and such make it nearly impossilbe to do.
Thanks.
One of the best screens I've seen is currently on alot of the Dell XPSs. It's treated with some sort of anti-reflectant. In addition, the screen itself is very bright.

Here's a good website for the definition of a PCI card:

Sorry, can't help ya with the other questions. ;)
Seconding GoldEagle's choice ;)
Are you running a software firewall as well?
I see.
Thanks JoeProgrammer
Do the BSODs occur at any particular moment? Or do they just happen at random?
How bout time-wise. Do they occur after using the computer for awhile?
I hate to say it, but I think reformat is the only other option. ;)
Have you tried using other Web browsers (ie Firefox)?
Well, to start, it'd be best if you had all files revealed:
Just be careful of what you do here. Don't mess around while in this mode- you can do some very serious damage.
With that said, here's how ya do it ;):
1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
2. Double-click on the "My Computer" icon.
3. Select the "Tools" menu and click "Folder Options".
4. After the new window appears select the "View" tab.
5. Place a checkmark in the checkbox labeled "Display the contents of system folders."
6. Under the "Hidden files and folders" section select the radio button labeled "Show hidden files and folders."
7. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled "Hide file extensions for known file types."
8. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled "Hide protected operating system files."
9. Press the "Apply" button and then the "OK" button and close My Computer.
Heh I can't lie...
What you might consider is that it's overheating. Make sure the vents are getting enough air.
Try deleting the folder inside Program Files in Safe mode, and then cleaning out your registry afterwards.
Hmmm...
Well it seems the battery utility itself is behaving alright.
What I think is the problem is that somehow, you've blown out the battery. ;)
I'm seconding goldeagle's advise...
Hmmm....I've had this problem as well with other games.
What are the specs of your computer. Which version of Windows ya got?
The problem itself might just be that it's on a DVD, and not a CD...
This is probably a very stupid question, but is it possible to build your own Apple?
I've been a Windows guy all my life, and of course many Windows users build their own PCs.
However, I've never heard anything about one building an Apple...
I ask because this concept might just be my new computer ;)
Mel-
Now, this is only a guess, but what I think might be the problem is that there's static inside your computer, and that this was caused by opening up the laptop itself.
Problem though: I don't know how you would get the static out. Sorry ;)
Hmm, I dunno if this will help, but have you tried messing with the resolution on it?
Have ya tried messing around with some of the Windows Settings? (right click> Properties> Settings)
Hope this helps. ;)
Welcome to Daniweb :)
We are eternally locked in epic battle.
Definitely! Except...I won't be the one debating it now. ;)
Haha welcome to Daniweb :).
By the way, for world domination, I would reccomend this link: ;)
Prettty awsome site by the way.
Hmm...why do ya like F-Secure so much?
Simply curious. ;)
Incubus
Hawthorne Heights
(I have a feeling pretty soon we're going to have to change the rules a bit---we're getting wayyyy too many s. A possible proposition is to optionally cut the s off the band name? What do people think?)
Hmmm.....mabe a 10 year subscription to the site
Someone increase my rep....I've tried hard to be useful here.....(is that desperate or what?)
Heh join the club. ;)
Nirvana
Well said Mr. Bacon. ;)

Welcome to Daniweb :)
By the way, B.C. is one of the most fantastic places to be around, IMO. I took a 2-week vacation up there and loved it. ;)
Heh *holding back my secrets*
But seriously, I think, reputation-wise, most mods only have 1 or 2 rep squares ;)
Sum 41 ;)

Haha that always helps. :)
Welcome to Daniweb :)
I can't seem to find the thread, but I think she gave up on the Alienware after a plethora of problems and instead bought a new Dell.
Try reposting in the correct forum ;)
Welcome.
Sean, welcome to Daniweb :)
Woah, wayy out of place ;)
In the process of being moved.
Fran, that's very helpful and good to know! :)
Out of curiosity, how much did it end up being?
Lastly, cant help ya with the man in Australia.
In general, complexity is worth it, until the point where the technology of which the complexity is benefitting does not break the point of ease.
(sorry if that doesnt make sense ;))
Moved.
Moved to correct forum :)
