first thing i would do(unless everything is unboard ) is remove any addin cards like modem and sound ,usb ,and reboot if it boots then add the cards back in one at a time till it doesent boot .not saying this will work just saing its the first thing i would do !
If you have the win98 cd put in and direct the driver install to the win98 folder ,if you don't have the cd try directing it to c:\windows \system ,folder
I hve never seen a celphone that connects to a computer ,that doesn't mean there isn't one ,but a search of your phone doesent say iy hooks up to a computer ,if you are wanting to connect it to the internet then you have to subscribe to a wireless internet server provider to use your phone for e-mail and stuff !

look on the motherboard for a jumper to reset the bios to default usuall near the bios chip ,or remove the motherboard battery for a while to restor the default bios.
You were suppost to do you research and learn how to format before you actually did it .make sure that the computer is set to boot to the cd ,do this in the bios ,
I have a monitor ? and thought i'de ask it here ,monitor is really blurry you can make out colors , icons but you can't tell whats what and the monitor setup when open i can scroll through the different settings(not knowing whats what ) and make changes not knowing what changes but it remains blurry ,you can't make out anything it just a big blurr.
The file you are downloading is only 1 meg so if you are on high speed internet it wouldn't take long to download .Did you try to use the directory and see if it leaves the icon on your desktop !
If you have the cdrom slaved to the hard drive try this ,.maybe if you make the cdrom master and slave the dvd on the secondairy ide chanel it will name the 2nd partition d:\
The iso image ned to be burnt to a cd using Nero or other software before you can install it .and i dought if there is an evaluation copy of server 2003!
i think i might have found a compatible processor its an intel pentium 3 socket 370 133 mhz 256 kb 1.2 ghz does that sound compatible?
If we knew the name and # of your board we could tell you if the 1.2 will work with your board ,the adia 32 program will tell you the name and # of the board .just open the program an click on motherboard in the left pane and then motherboard again in the right pain .
I think if you find ie.dll.exe you should delete them , like i said before dll file are not executiables therfor would not have the .exe extension,DLL means , dynamic link library, files that are axcessed by its related programs EXE file .
if the hard drive boot with out the cdrom in don't change it unles you are slaving the cdrom to it thebn it may need to be changed to master with a slave .to get around this master them both ,with the burner on the secondiary ide chanel,i would take the burner back to where you bought it and get them to hook it to there computer to see if it works .
my 2 piece altec lansings with sub are 5 yrs old and still ging strong ,everynow and then i have to fix the volum botton ,just an adjustment ,other than that they work great ,have never like anything by logitech!!!:)
I have a PCI Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem and an ISA sound card. When I place a phone call my voice from the PC is not being heard at the telephone end. The voice from the telephone end can be heard at the PC though. I thought that there was no cable connecting the sound card andthe modem and bought one. When I took out the cards to install the cable, I found that the PCI Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem did not have any pins to connect the jack to. The sound card has pins for such a connection. I am puzzled. How can I connect the cards. Should I connect them externally i.e., connect the speaker output of the sound card to the modem input? Or does the PCI Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem has inbuilt function to handle the sound card function and hence does not need a sound card?
i haven't use 98 for awhile trying to go by my bad memory ,i have a ME computer here but it has Tools in my computer .it should be under view or edit ,any go across the top and look for folder options under one of them .
Hitting the f8 key on boot up and start in safe mode ,and disable the system restore (do this by rifht clicking mycomputer /properties /system restore ,uncheck the box ),and remove reference to ms blaster from startup .get there by typing in Start/ RUN /msconfig /startup and fing and un check ms blaster 32.exe or something like that i just forget the actuall name it is given .you may be able to axcess you cdrom in safe mode to run the removal tool ,if not just reboot in normal mode ,after you remove it and install the ms patch you can reactivate you system restore .
sounds like it is the motherboard/aGP not able to use the newer faster AGP,your old one is most likely 2x and the new one 4x or even 8x .You will need a new board /cpu and ram,to use the new card .

This is how to change file tpes to the program you want to open them ,apply this but direct it to c:\windows \mediaplayer ,i haven't used win98 for a couple of yrs now or media plyer 7 ,so there may be an easier way to set it a default

i found all the missing space yay! i found that recycler folder by typing C:\recycler into the Run program and deleted all the space-taking garbage. but the weird thing is that over a few hours, it drops by .01 GB's when i cleaned it it was at 18.5 gb's now a few hours later its 18.3. *confused
when you reboot the computer does it go back to showing the 18.5 ,windows uses the hard drive as a virtual memory ,swap file /page file in XP .that is restored after rebooting. I also recomend removing norton system works .
I posted a message last week about some trouble I was having when I boot up my machine. A host of unknown applications were opening up and drastically slowing down my PC. So I went and downloaded Spybot and Grisoft, ran them and I am still having the same problem. Is it time to call in a professional or what? When I ran AVG, no viruses were found. Can my PC be saved?

when you ram them did they find and remove anything ,did you run them again to check and remove them again ,have you gone into RUN/msconfig /startup and unchecked any program that you know don't need to be running .or in add/remove programs and uninstall these programs . :rolleyes:
"it sounds like it working " does that mean it going through the posr and does it do the one beep indacating is windows starting or is it just the fans running ,if so it could be the cpu or motherboard ,the best thing to do if you are comfortable inside the computer, shut it down and remove all addin cards and then boot to see if it post ,if it does,then shut it down and replace the video card and reboot ,keep doing this until the computer stops booting again .tha last card in befor the noboot is the problem ,havin said that none of this will help if it the motherboard or the cpu ,also it could be the power supply not putting out enough power .i could go on and on

in explorer go to tools /internet options/advanced ,scroll down to security and check the box next to empty temp internet file when browser is closed .saves you from having to do it manually !:)
try disabling you norton antivirus auto protection ,there are a few things running there that don't need to be ,like Windows messanger ,loadqm.exe ,task schedular,real updater ,the epson printer ,tapisrv.exe , zone alarm is good but rescorce hog.
