I've just finished installing Black XP on my DELL Inspiron 2650 Laptop but ht e welcome screen doesn't show up at startup.
I've tried to put password, thinking maybe it would prompt for password at startup, but nothing.

Can anybody help me?

Black xp is pirated version of windows ,we do not offer support for such .

I just installed Windows 7 on a HP Media center PC m7350la, but already having problems with audio. It does not recognize any speakers at all. Any suggestions, replies or/and comments will be greatly appreciated.

hi .did you go to HP site and see if they have updated win7 drivers for your machine

Hi, a simple google search finds answer ,i found this as i don't know squat about networking the 2 OS's ,this person did it and wrote about it to help us all if we should need to network winxp with win7 .its a good read .I have 2 win7 computers networked it was quite simple ,3rd computer in the house is running win vista ,haven't tried to network it yet with the other two

flash saftly depends on your motherboard ,so check with them .remove any floppy disk from machine, enter bios and set defaults ,save and exit ,boot again

i have window vista os and am trying to play avi file but when i play then on different players such as quicktime the files works fine but when i try and play them on window media player it doesnt seem to work

Is there a way to uninstall SP3 using knoppix? My brother had some issues with one of his mmo games so he thought he would just update his OS he didn't tell me what he was doing so i couldn't get the fix for sp3 on his PC b4 he did it ( I know i should have done it a while ago but I'm a big procrastinator ) i was going to do what i did with my PC but either it got scratched or something happened with my XP CD it wont enter Recovery Mode on his PC.

I can use my knoppix cd on his so i was wondering if there is a way to delete,remove,rename what ever file it is but I'm not sure what file's or where they are located at. I tried looking though the web but still haven't had any luck.

no i don't think so, there are lots of thing that can be done like deleting file and saving files to devices ,deleting partitions and such,but you need to access windows to actually uninstall sp3 me thinks

Sometimes , it seem that the computer work perfectly, but the next time it is on , it cannot even reboot and even if it can, the images would sometimes freeze after using for 30 minutes. i seem to have similar problems with the rest , and my computer is an assembled one , further more i know nothing about the internal working of the computer . can someone help me ?

I was directing him mainly to the registry edit, I have had problems in the past and I now use that tweak. Since I have set it up, windows never hangs for any time on shutdown. Sorry if it sounded like I was repeating your post that was not my intention.

I think that you are advising me to do what I aleady do. In IE8 at present if I want to save a webpage to my CSS folder. I either right click and select "Add to favorites" or I could go to the Favorites button or the Favorites menu. I then select my CSS folder. If I then find another web page with an interesting CSS article and decide to save it to my Favorites the default location should, surely be the last folder used in the Favorites folder?

Run hijack this again and fix these two entries ,check to see if it help wireless problem ,if not then maybe you could run malwarebytes to check for nasties .

I have seen that suggestion about uncheck ENABLE PROTECTED MODE but I do not have that option available to uncheck... geez, now what. Do you have any favorite spyware/malware/virus checkers that you can suggest? Maybe there is a corrupted/infected file buried deep somewhere that is preventing me from wireless connection. I am soooooooo frustrated.

I am new here so hope i am in the right place. I am running win xp sp 2 ie 7. on my laptop i can no longer access the internet wireless but i can access the internet thru a wired connection. when i am wirless and i enter a web page i get the error message at the lower left screen "waiting for res://ieframe.dll dnserrordiagoff.htm" then the white page that says teh page cannot be displayed . i can boot to safe mode with netowrking but the wirelesss does not work either. i am at a total loss as to what happend. i had a virus/malware issue but i think it is now fixed but perhaps thruough all the cleaning something corrupted a file needed for wirelss. that is just a guess. the little computer icon in the systray says i am connected to my wireless router but i just cannot connect via wireless. one question i do have which may or may not mean anything is that my ip address of my laptop is different when i type ipconfig at a command prompt for the ethernet connection and the wireless connection. Is that important? Just wondering and thanks to anyone who can help. No one seems to be able to solve this problem.

are you sure you are connecting to your own wireless router ,different ip sounds like you may be connecting to a neighbors !

My O S crashed. So it was replaced and they reinstalled my files.
I have Outlook xp 6 but only e mails showing from o4.

try alt+ctrl+del, use end task make sure all applications are shut down first then try turning off windows

Thank you for your advice on Defraggler. I've installed it and, as you correctly point out, it's solved my defrag problem (Yay;-).
It was actually hiberfil.sys which caused the problem. After defragging, and still with 23% defragmentation, it was easy to see just what was causing it. I simply turned System Hibernation off and on again in power options and Hey Presto! - no more problem. Windows defrag now reports, "No need to defragment this volume".

I shall also try your other suggestion of waiting longer for safe mode to boot (though tomorrow - it's late here in UK now) and will post back my experience when done.

3-4 min is not a long wait for safe mode to come up ,wait a little longer ,
also a good free 3rd party defrag is defraggler ,by the makers of ccleaner another great free program ..you could try it and then check win defrag for same message after !

what were the updates installed ,maybe there was one for the network adapter that didn't work you need to rollback driver for the device in device manager .right click on mycomputer to find link to device manager .if you don't know what updates were installed check by going to start all programs and open windows update and check install updates to view recent updates installed

The number now only represents "registered members". In the past non-registered users also added to this number (like google-crawlers etc).
The difference is this:
In the past the line meant "655,245 members. 2000 random connections are currently online"
Now the line means "655,245 members. 20 of these members are currently online"
