I totally agree with you. Social media is a way of publicizing yourself so you have to be careful of the way you brand yourself. Remember that almost all you disclose on social media can be found and shared - therefore if you are trying to keep your private and public lives separate - just be cautious what you publish.

I personally have not used Autoresponders because you have to make sure it does not come from an ISP that is blacklisted.

Just make sure that when you so article marketing - you got to think of the following:
1. the article can not be verbatim copy from the content on your website - Google will penalize you for this
2. the article should have words that will help the SEO of your website

Good question - I actually have been exploring this option as well. When I attended a workshop that dealt with outsourcing to overseas help - it mentioned the necessity to hire a Project Manager even if you only have 1 freelancer. This way, they will ensure the project is complete and on-time.

I second MacKone. I have built a few social networks and it can be time consuming and the most important issue is that you constantly have to promote it becasue remember, 80% of posts come from less than 20% of members.

Yes - just remember that the process can become a little expensive but its better to do it upfront than later on when you have a very successful (7 figures and above) business and then the other company with your name sues you for trademark infringement.

I agree with the past two posters - you have to think both short term and long term approaches on driving qualified traffic to your website. You also need to consider paid and unpaid online promotion and overall, what is your strategy!!!

I strongly advise to never, ever include your home number and use Google Voice or retain a local call forwarding service.
