I totally agree with you. Social media is a way of publicizing yourself so you have to be careful of the way you brand yourself. Remember that almost all you disclose on social media can be found and shared - therefore if you are trying to keep your private and public lives separate - just be cautious what you publish.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I personally have not used Autoresponders because you have to make sure it does not come from an ISP that is blacklisted.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Just make sure that when you so article marketing - you got to think of the following:
1. the article can not be verbatim copy from the content on your website - Google will penalize you for this
2. the article should have words that will help the SEO of your website
3. It has to be relevant to the visitor's search experience

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I read somewhere that social media is advertising - I dont think it is but I do think that social media is non-blatant advertising because it allows you to still advertise yourself or your product and social media can help you with your branding.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Yes, its good to have a number but becareful what number you post! No home numbers.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

That's odd - I never heard of any of these networks and I attend workshops on affiliate marketing. You know, you better check the quality of those sites before you post them here, because when I clicked to them I got the huge "WARNING" about the site. These types of links can cause members of this community to not respect your postings, so becareful

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Good question - I actually have been exploring this option as well. When I attended a workshop that dealt with outsourcing to overseas help - it mentioned the necessity to hire a Project Manager even if you only have 1 freelancer. This way, they will ensure the project is complete and on-time.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

What does that forum have to do with SEO? It seems like a chat room

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I personally dont even check my Buzz. I dont have time. Thank goodness buzz alerts dont come into your mobile.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Or also keep the same handle with all the other profiles so you can solidifying one identity.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

A week after, what do you think of Buzz? I dont even check Buzz.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Sexy wear - did you just repeat your post every where here? :-(

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Thanks Sexy Wear - but how does this answer the question?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Thanks Sexy Wear - but how does this answer the question?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

CMS has nothing to do with storing your passwords. Im just trying to manage mine!

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Canada Fred - I love it!! You are satirizing the popular threads here. Genius!!!

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

It depends how often you often the content of your site. The more often you update the site, the more the spider will crawl.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

The true reason to have Facebook fans is to have a loyal following. So whats the use of buying fans if they will nto be loyal to your brand and services?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

It sounds like it.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I agree with you Jenny. In order to make a fair assessment and recommendations, we, the posters shoudl be able to view the site.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Oh I did not even know that is possible. As far I know of, I dont think its possible. Is it?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Thanks for sharing your story. I wonder who else on this site also did a similar tactic and what were their outcome.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Thanks for bringing this up to our attention. The perception of privacy and the sense to preserve it has been eroded with the evasive use of Social media 2.0.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Well if it worked for you great - I just dont trust any of these paid acquired friends. Im sorry - call me a skeptic but I dont trust it.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Thats a good testimonial but I am not into those types of deals.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Financial post -what about competitive intelligence?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

With more social media communities popping up and if the saved passwords go caput on your computer, I do wonder what a pain in the neck it is to log in to all those accounts.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Google has a very interesting and ever changing algorithm. Thus, pages with new content may get indexed much more than statis ancient pages but there are other nuisances as well. http://www.google.com/webmasters/

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Am I the only one who is not familiar with FourSquare? I know buddies who love FourSquare and constantly blog or tweet about it. I personally dont see the value. Can someone explain to me why this FourSquare is better than sliced bread?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

The other day, I was exploring other Google tools for my blackberry. I noticed "Latitude" - it seems great but I dont want to release exact GPS location of me every moment of the day. Am I the only person concerned about this?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I would not be surprised if Google Buzz will include more "buzz" on so-called contacts and friends.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I second MacKone. I have built a few social networks and it can be time consuming and the most important issue is that you constantly have to promote it becasue remember, 80% of posts come from less than 20% of members.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

My only concern is that there is no sense of privacy anymore online - every tweet, every FB update, becomes search-able. I hope people realize this.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

DIGG is infamous for doing this - t-shirts that promote their site and the staff wears them during interviews, etc. So I wonder have you taken a similar approach and what were your results?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

So SaudiJobs, I wonder if your posts have been deleted after reading these responses.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Yes - just remember that the process can become a little expensive but its better to do it upfront than later on when you have a very successful (7 figures and above) business and then the other company with your name sues you for trademark infringement.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Exposure to your business on forums is best achieved via:
1. comments
2. signature on comments
3. placing ads on these forums
4. doign co-promotes on those sites (usually takes lots of $$$$)

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Yeah, since now people can send text messages via phone numbers, it is good idea to use a number that has spam filters.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Well they must be behind the times because most people in the United States use Iphone or Blackberry.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Could this finally mean the demise of Google?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Yes, forum signatures do help but it is usually a good short term option rather than a long term option, unless you constantly update your comments and contribute to the community.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Video ads are gaining buzz but I have a feeling it may be going the way of Pop-ups.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

If someone thinks they have any sense of privacy today, they are just fooling themselves. There is absolutely no sense of privacy. Most importantly, nowadays, people are very willing to give up their privacy by tweeting, updating FB, etc.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Long time ago, I created a similar project and I used meetup.com to launch the program and this way I centered events around the fitness program. At first, I had people and then it died off. You need to always keep building and sustaining those relationships.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

What you are saying sounds very much like a business plan. A business plan is required by banks and venture capitalists to determine the viability of the business and to fund it.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

Yes, it is common now a days to create a Facebook Fan Page. But how do you promote it?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

When you put your link on blogs, be aware that it may not be approved.

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

You may need to consider adding some online digital advertising at niche sites in order to drive qualified traffic to your website. You can drive all the traffic you want, but if they dont convert, then whats the use?

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I agree with the past two posters - you have to think both short term and long term approaches on driving qualified traffic to your website. You also need to consider paid and unpaid online promotion and overall, what is your strategy!!!

InsightsDigital 57 Posting Virtuoso

I strongly advise to never, ever include your home number and use Google Voice or retain a local call forwarding service.
