Offering such general topics for discussion may not be a good start - as there are already thousands of other forums discussing the same thing. Instead, try offering something unique and compelling. Something that will motivate user participation.

Google Toolbar PageRank has no bearing on how your website will rank in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). It is merely a measurement of "relative importance" to Google. Web pages that have a higher PR than other web pages will NOT necessarily outrank those pages in the SERPs. Why? …

that's a good question. Aside from conversion.. i'd have to say Reach. If there were a way to truly show how many users saw a social ad or a sponsored tweet, i think that would be a nice KPI.

There was a new article posted today about this on BusinessWeek. Personally, i don't think Apple will drop Google on the iPhone. Although.. to me it seems that if Apple wanted to better compete with Google's new mobile developments, they should drop their exclusivity contract with AT&T.

Today, The Nielson Company actually reported some search data for December 2009. It showed that Google's search share surged from 65.4% to 67.3% (almost two full points) while both Bing and Yahoo lost market share. So it would seem that Bing's recent surge was short-lived.
