try right click the file and choose compatiabily mode and choose win95 see what happens .
also in device manager click view and click show hidden devices .monitor should be there all ready by try it.

I hear the same noise. I do have the Google toolbar installed and the noise it makes when blocking pop-ups is different. I have even uninstalled it and the drip noise is still there. It happens on most websites. I've sampled every sound in the control panel and none of them are the same.

You say it happens on every site ,when does it happen ,when the site is loading ,when you use the mmouse on the site ,or when you click on a link o n the site ??

Funnie how this happened to some and not the rest of us who use Hotmail.have you tried going into IE tools /internet options and setting things back to there defaults .might help

Spybot search and destroy only removes part of the problem ,spyware goes deeper than that !CWshreadder and other programs are needed as well .

Not to discredit those here who help with these logs ,I said it before and I'll say it again,the best place for help with hijack logs is the hikackthis fourm ,more people there who know how to completly get rid of spyware ..Click on this link .

computers are strange ,some times they need a cold boot ,not just a reboot .

XP = Xtremely Poor!!! Yes and no ! my verson works just fine ,2 yrs now and i don't recall it ever having a shutdown problem all my bsod were caused by me playing with hardware !!:)

A restor looses all software ! did you try safe mode and removing the notorious piece of junk from nortons call system works .to get to safe mode hit the f8 key on bootup and go to add/remove programs in control panel and uninstall nortons

What's a DRDOS?? As for the win 98 boot disk it doesnt work on my computer don't know why.

I'm not sure but ,when i search for Drfat32.sys ,all references are to a drDos program .
You may have to change the boot sequence in the Bios to boot to the A:\ drive .to getthe win98 disk to work

sounds like maybe the hdd needs to be fdisked first.use a win98 bootdisk .
also a quick search makes me think you are using a program called DRDOS!!if so why

I don't think there is much difference in there purpose!msn messenger is latest version i think,if you have a hotmail account you can set up messenger to use the same username and password .it is used to chat with friends and family or who ever .if you know someone who uses it you get there username and out it in your contact list ,so you know when they are online ,and you can send them instent messages ..i haven't use it for a few years and never used it that much ,but my daugher uses it all the time to chat with her friends .It has lots of features check msn site for more info

The clint .dll is the file that is loade for the spyware part of kaza ,if you use ad-aware or spybot to remove spyware ,you would have removed this dll .so if you reload kazaa it will reinstall the dll ,and you then should be able to remove kazaa .

thats just the chip set ,I need the manufactor and model #. get this program and run it it will tell you everything on you computer go to motherboard section and you should see the name and #pick the second on in the list ,Personal System Information

I use or have use all 3 .

I've just installed Win XP pro, clean install - the problem is the computer will not shut down. When I click Shut Down, the lights on the tower will flicker a bit, might get a hourglass which then returns to a pointer, but I do not leave the desktop. Everything is still functional. The same thing happens with Restart. I can go into the Sleep Mode though.

I've checked the Power Management settings - there is no APM selection, it isn't available in the BIOS either.

Am at a loss

I aint now trained computer tech,but i have learned a lot by reading and doing things for others and I have built a few computers and repaired a few ,and have never come across a computer that didn't have APM either in windows or in the bios !! I think it has to be one or the other .do you know what motherboard is in your computer .
