I copyied your log to the hijackthis fourm and got this answer .So if you wantto do as suggested ,and post a new log I will post the new log there to and get back to here with there suggestions .This from hijack fourn ..

You have a number of issues, and I therefore suggest you proceed as follows:
Download Spybot - Search & Destroy http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

After installing, you MUST first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.
Next, close all Internet Explorer windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove/fix all it finds.
That ought to get rid of much of your spyware.

Subsequently restart your computer, run Hijack This once more, repost to this forum thread, and show us a fresh log.

There will be more to do!

Hi,
No I'm not to familiar with the dos commands. I know alittle, but not alot. At the A: prompt, which looks like this to me, A:\> I type A:\>i386 then enter or A:\>setup.exe or A:\>winnt.exe, and get the result of bad command line. I have switched drives, so I have typed A:\>c:, which changes my prompt to C:\>, now I type the same info above on drive c:\> with the same result. Now I have also tried this on drive D:\> with the same result as above. If I am doing anything wrong please let me know.
Thankyou

Did you follow these instructions from the micrsoft site i posted !!:)

Starting Windows XP Setup from MS-DOS
Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
Start the computer to an MS-DOS prompt with CD-ROM support. If your computer does not have MS-DOS already installed, or does not allow you to choose to start to an MS-DOS prompt in the Boot menu, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
187632 How to Create a Windows 98 Startup Disk that Supports FAT32

Start SMARTDrive if it is not already started. To do this, change to the folder that contains the Smartdrv.exe file, type smartdrv, and then press ENTER. If you do not use SMARTDrive, you may notice that the portion of Windows XP Setup that copies files to the hard disk performs slowly.
At the command prompt, type drive:, and then …

Win98 should support usb ,support for usb started with win95B, it wasen't loaded default ,but the drivers are on the win95 cd.
Have you check the Device manager to make sure thatthe usb drivers are loaded, look for any yellow ! if they are there with problems ,uninstall them and reboot windows it should reload the drivers .

Not all micro atx cases take smaller dimension power supplies, but i do believe your does .you would be better off buying a full size atx case with power supply, and transfering all you goodies into it !

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

Thats because you need to use the xp bootdisk or the xp cd to install it , winxp does not use Dos!

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

You shouldn't loose any programs ,at worse you'll just have to create some new shortcuts ,you can actuall go into c:\ documents and settings, your user name and backup your desktop and IE favorites ,documents and what ever else and copy them into the new username, and when you feel you have it all the same as now ,but with out the side bar delete the old username .Been there done that ,twice !!:)

It is best to format you drive and install xp ,you don't need win me hanging around and causing conflicts .
Just boot to the xp cd and run the install ,you may need to change the boot sequence in Bios so cdrom boots first .

Hi,
I am having troubles booting up my pc. I have tried to run in safe mode and I wait a few minutes and then finally something happens, I see a blue screen quickly with writing, I couldn't tell you what it said, and then the computer restarts itself. I choose start in safe mode with networking and still the same result. I try to load windows xp from a last good known configuration, but still the same end result, my pc restarts itself. I try starting windows normally, and it actually makes it to the loading windows screen, but then reboots itself. I tried running a win xp bootdisk and it comes up with an error saying "file \biosinfo.inf could not be loaded".
The error code is 4096. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.
Can anyone please help me.
Thankyou

Did you try the xp repair
