i know im probably becoming a pain in the ass but im trying to give you all revelant info to save time like.
The actual p4mx4 error goes like this
windows cannot find 'c:\windows\system32\p4mx4.exe'. make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. to search for a file, click the start button and then click search.

i clicked ok on the error box to be presented with this unsightly error box

could not load or run 'c:\windows\system32\p4mx4.exe' specified in the registry. make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the registry

i looked forward to a reply

Ok, I have an Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller. 64 mb ram. 52mb AGP. It says it is integrated... I am using a SiSoftware Sandra program to look at this.

First off, I would like to know if there are anywayz to make this better while I still have it? If not, when I buy a new one, is there anything specific I need to buy? And will I have to buy a new mother board also?

Please, If anyone would research this and tell me, I would appreciate it MUCH!

Intergrated means its built into the motherboard ,so to make it better you would need to buy a new video card ,either a PCI or AGP depends on if your board has a AGP slot or not ,you would have to disable the unboard and instllal the new card .

First thing to do is to check device manager and see if you modem is listed and there are no problems with it there ,if it ok then check the phone wire connection make sure it pluged in right ,phone to phone side of the modem or wall to wall side of the modem .
How to get to device manager ,right click mycomputer/properties /device manager ,you should see modem in the list!!

Ok, about eighteen hours ago I deleted a leftover Norton AntiVirus 2004 folder, Symantec Shared, that contained script blocking files that were....well, blocking scripts. Then there was a massive unrelated problem with the video card that took a while to fix. However after finally getting the PC going again, I can't do many things script-related on IE. For example, I cannot even log in on Neveron (a web-based game that uses many scripts) or even simple things like clicking on smilies/emoticons when posting on a few forums. So, does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and if anyone knows anything about my previous posted problem http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread2524.html, please reply. Thankyou.

Fixing the hijack log first might solve this problem ,I suggest going to hijack fourm and getting help with the log .

I have the same issue. Except my problem began after a power outage. I've had friends in the IT field check the computer out and finally took it in to Best Buy for them to look at it but no one seems to know what the problem is. Windows has been completely restored and still the same freeze happens during start up I was able to start the computer in safe mode like grumpyXP, but after Best Buy worked on it, I can't even do that anymore. One friend thought the problem could be the motherboard but Best Buy ran a diagnostic on all the hardware and found no problems. I don't think I have modem issues, but don't even know how I would check that out to make sure. Any suggestions?

The power outage could have kolled your modem ,remove it from computer and try booting .or as said above remove all and replace one ata time to help find the one causing the prob!

I have the error "gstartup.ink" come up when windows loads. I searched for the error on google and this website came up. via another thread's advice, I ran the program HiJackThis which searched my browser for some spyware. I don't know if it found anything that isn't suppose to be there but it found quite a lot. None of it made sense to me but I saved the log file. Who can I get to look at this log file to determine what I can and can't get rid of? Thanks

If you mean a computer dvd burner ,not sure what one is the best ,if you mean recordiable media ,you will need to buy the type you burner need like +R or -R format or you burner may use both ,newer burners usuall burn either format .

Home TV system recorders here and they use DVD-Ram disk with the ability to record over and over on the same disk .

And Ram disk .
