Check for dust/dirt around the laser and indeed as sillycliff says check for scratches on the disc itself. Just to ask the obvious, are you accedentally putting the DVD into the CD drive? Also check on the back of the game what speed your DVD/CD drive needs to be at. …

It takes over a minute to post things often, even on threads which have no one else on them. Anyone else getting this problem, or is this due to the large number of users or something

Use another media player! If iTunes is giving you constant grief switch to a different media player. OR if you wish to keep iTunes, goto file-> add folder to library. Select the folder that has all the music in it, and do it that way.

Faulty RAM? Check with them that they have 1. The correct type of RAM 2. The RAM is properly seated 3. No muck on the contacts 4. They have enough of it! Try them first.

Have you tried putting a new battery into the motherboard. Otherwise if your motherboard is damaged in any way, you will have to replace the entire unit, and then buy new components to comply with that motherboard.

I like WMP11 personally, there isn't much difference between them. As long as they play the music/CD's/DVD's in a good quality, that is about all you need. I wouldn't get iTunes/Quicktime player, i find it has slightly worse sounds and video quality compared to WMP. But that's just my opinion.

They just want you to spend more money with them, and not the competition! If you have the correct hardware and software, there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Go for whatever option suits you and your needs/requirements.

Go into Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. Wait for the long list to load, and find the panda program on there. Then click on it once to bring up further options. Then click on the remove button, and follow the straight forward wizard.

Welcome, and yes you have posted it in the right place. If you are currently running Windows XP 1Gb is ample, if you are running Windows Vista, which i am guessing you are, 2Gb of RAM is a worthwhile upgrade. If you download and run the following software: http://crucial.com/systemscanner/loader.aspx?Agree=Yes Then …

What you could try, is to download the free version of AVG anti-virus, run their scan to see if you get anything, if AVG won't find it not much else will! You can find it here: http://free.grisoft.com Download the free version, install it and run their system scan. Otherwise you …

It is highly unlikely that there are other creatures living out in the huge universe. there are not enough 'perfect' planets orbiting the right distance from a star to support water let alone life. I a physics buff ~ my kind of subject is space;)

That's is weird, you should have the pink jack free for your mic. What colour are the holes that you have your speakers plugged into, you should only be using the green coloured one/s. Pink Jack relates to Microphone, Orange Jack relates to Headphones, Green Jack relates to Speakers.
