not sure ,but try unplugging it from the surge bar ,hold the on button in for a minute ,plug it back in to try turning it on a again, it didn't need to be turned on to get a surge of power ,just plugged in

hi, not sure if this is a fix but worth a try , open IE ,go to tools /internet options /advanced ,and in there reset IE settings . also you could try unplugging your router from the power source for a few minutes ,then plug it back in .
