When you mean secured networks do you mean networks that is protected with a password protected like WPA? Make sure your firewall settings is configure to allow password protect networks or other security softwares you have.

Reset your linksy router. At the back of the router there is a reset button use something and hold down the button for 30 seconds ( old models ) and 10 seconds for ( newer model of linksy router).

You have to open your laptop case and find the ram slot. There are two slots together, there are two latches at the side of a slot. Release it and slide the ram stick out and you can replace it.

Do not replace your ram if you do not know how to do it. Consult a friend who has experience in it.

Not busted but bloated. But never mind, did you test out using a spare monitor. Try to find spare parts or ask your friend to lend you. Is anything thing loose inside your computer?

Chrome is a memory hog

So if a poster have a link in his signature and the link is about laptop repair but he post something useful, that is not counted as spam. But if he posted something useless to the thread, that count as spam. Correct?

Just a tip, remember to keep your anti virus always up to date for the latest protection. Just to be on a safe side you might want to update your virus definitions and scan again in case the trojan remains. Cheers.

Just want to clarify what is spam again. Having links in your signature that promotes or advertise something is counted as spam but having your own blog in your link is now, right? So, how about having SEO links not affiliate to the poster? Does that count as spam too

Since you already diagnose that the built in ram is giving you trouble why not replace it with a new one or change the ram stick to another slots. There are always two slots in a laptop.

Have you try searching google before posting here. If you did that, you might get all your answers in a few minutes.

Besides the video card check the motherboard for any bloated capacitors.

If you have a spare monitor connect it to your laptop. Can you hear the fan spin? If you dare, remove the laptop case and check the heatsink and fan area and see whether it is clog up with dust.

Remove the battery and try starting up with the power cord for a start. Do you see any lights or hear the fan spin when it starts up. You might want to try using an spare monitor and connect to make sure your monitor is not having problems.

Not very sure about this but have you try checking whether the DNS settings on both the same on Machine A and B and have you done a port scan?

If you have a spare monitor test it out to see whether it is the problem if yes you have to replace it. If no, that means the problems like with the computer. Is it under warranty, if no you might have to remove the case and try some simple repair steps yourself.

1) Reseat the ram sticks
2) Motherboard may be faulty or its battery
3)Take a look at the capacitors on the motherboard and see whether they are bloated. They look like small battery

Some websites won't work that means it could be a DNS issue. Make sure your DNS server are setup properly. To check whether it is a DNS issue ping to the websites you are having trouble to access.

1) In your ping results, there would be 10 numbers for example when I do a ping test to google.com the IP address is 74.125.235.50
2) Copy the 10 digit number and paste it in your url box and see whether you can access the websites again. If yes, your DNS settings are change and you have to reset them to default.

Ok. There are free softwares out there you can delete too. Try onyx or maintenance. They are by the same developer, click here . I also recommend you to use AppCleaner to uninstall your apps and not just simply trash it. If the softwares you want to remove and built in uninstall program use that one. You said at when you run some programs it will automatically turn off itself? It could be an overheating issue, virus or some failing hardware in your computer.

Did you install any new hardware parts recently? Try following the bellow steps.

1) Reseat the ram ( Do not do this if you have no experience )

2) Test your power supply unit using a multimeter or power supply tester.

3) Enter your BIOS by pressing F2 and just wait to see anything happens.

4) Is your fan producing a very loud noise?

It still depends on what Windows 7 version you are using? For business, Windows 7 enterprise is the best.

Yes. It should be able to work since it is universal. If you are using a USB mouse I don't see why you should switch to a wireless one all of the sudden.

Do a ping test and try using other web browsers. Post the results of your ping test. Try pinging to google.com and facebook.com
