Just put a copyright notice in the code and be prepared to sue if you see someone blatantly flaunting your code. No need to encrypt if you dont have anything to hide

1. Upgrade to SP2 and get all the newest updates 2. Is the PC overheating? Clean the dust out of the inside , Open all the windows and put it in the middle of the room (for ventilation) and see if it has the same problem.

Its because system restore by default is set to earmark like 10% of your disk and with 200gbish disks becoming common, that means a lot of space is wasted. I usually lower mine to like 3%

you: Click Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Power Options tab. Then click APM > Enable Advanced Power Management Support. If the PC is old or you have not yet installed your motherboard drivers then this may not be available

Winlogon may have been replaced by a false one (virus). You can check it matches the one on the windows cd (you will need your cd) by going to run and typing
sfc /scannow
. This process is silent. Reboot it finishes and see if the problem still occurs.

It might work out of the box. Ubuntu is a livecd (try before installing) so you can see whether it detects the wifi dongle or not. If it doesnt then you should take a look at ndiswrapper and madwifi.

I have used AVG free on all my pcs since about 2000. It has caught every virus they have ever had and managed to heal them just as well as any commercial offering.

why do plain comp/sci when you can do a degree in networking? most unis over here let you study for a degree in networking whilst getting you a cisco type certification. You also get a work placement on mos tcourses (sandwich style)
