wait a min. My dells CPU has just a heatsink like the one shown (no fan). Its a P4HT from last year. Maybe it doesnt need one as its BTX?

my thinkpad gives me a red BIOS screen saying ACPI error if i boot it up at less than about 17 Degrees C so yeah id say its to protect it

well easiest option would be to make your own custom frontend around an existing internet engine (you can do this in visual studo using IE, for example) or if your feeling more adventurous you could get hold of the mozilla sourcecode

i have a dell and to install the ATI Catalyst stuff i need to perform windwows update first as it requires the .NET2 Framework which is not installed by default on XP SP2 Get the newest ATI drivers off the ATI/AMD site, that might help

theres always ways, like there are for XP but theese are illegal and constitute software piracy as Vista is NOT free software, the onky time it was ever "free" was during the beta testing period but that was time limited and has since expired

WTF thenss - i went out and baught the full (retail) version of vista. I have a pentium 4HT 3ghz with 1gb ram and vista when IDLE uses 60% CPU and 700mb RAM! and i personally think SLED is crap too - why is the freaking updater [U]still[/U] broken?????

media player broke my dads sound by installing new codecs i went into device manager and deleted all audio devices then re booted and ran the add new hardware wizard then it worked

go into power under the bios settings and poke around if the screen is dim you may be able to turn it up by holding down the FN key and the brightness up key (on my r30 its Home) also take a peek at windows power management

i got 8pcs in my house sharing a 2mb cable brodaband connection They connect to a linksys wireless g router and i get a fair rate of transfer so yes, i think 4-6 meg would do fine for 20pcs
