ddr3 will not work at all in this laptop .when you take to a computer shop they will know what ram to put into it ,good luck

purchasing DDR2 or DDR3 RAM isn’t usually a matter of preference. DDR2 and DDR3 RAM are not compatible. If your motherboard uses DDR2, you cannot upgrade to DDR3 without upgrading your motherboard. This means that if you currently own a computer with DDR2 RAM and you want to upgrade to a brand new processor and motherboard you have to throw your your perfectly good DDR2 RAM and buy new DDR3 RAM.

,if you check on this site the memory support list it shows the newer ram will be downgraded to 1333 ,it doesn't list the exact one you chose ,but does say because there are so many types of ram it doesn't list them all ,good luck

it says 1066/1333 ,so yes the 1600 will run at 1333, it maybe possible to overclock it ,not positive , what is the make and model of the motherboard you are going to use

it only would have deleted it if you told it to delete the 2 partitions when installing winxp . open mycomputer do you see 2 partitions ,like C:\ and D:\,d would/should be the recovery partition ,if you did deleted it then you need to borrow a win7 dvd ,from a friend ,same version as yours and just use the key on the side of your desktop

curious as to how a desktop you built, can come with win7 already installed ,when one builds a computer its from parts they buy ,if you did that the hard drive would not have had win7 installed o nit ,??

I have many problems with my laptop. It would be great if you can help me.
I have a Sony vaio VGN-FW280J. I had a windowns vista and Linux ubunutu is the same time on my machine (dual boot- grub2). Unofortunately, my windows had some virus that I counld not clean it and I decided to recover. I used recovery option of grub2 menu. After doing this, my C driver was formatted, but, it could not be recovered. The recovery DVD didn't work and I bought a window 7 to install new windows. When I put DVD and installation begins, I have this error: "Windows cannot be supported to this disk. This computer's hardware maynot support booting...." with current situation, I have 2 drive (Recovery and C). I tried to use advanced option and format, delet and new... all attempts was unsuccessful. One of my friend advised me to disable AHCI in Bios. I don't know how can I go into bios. I tried different keys such as F1, F2, ESC, DEL, F10. With pressing F2, Setup starts, F10 have this message: "a disk read error occured" and other keys don't work. All my attemps were totally unsuccessful. Do you have any idea how can i solve this problem?

Maximum Resolution is only 1920 x 1080,you cant make it double that just by adding a second monitor, to the best of my knowledge anyway

run it again and check off these ,reboot ,then try deleting folder ,.
you seem to a few toolbars installed ,most are not needed

also download and run ,malwarebytes ,after scan view what it finds if any and delete all .

go to control panel /users ,and click on change the way users logon and off ,it should give you option to use a password

open mycomputer ,open Documents and settings ,go to users and open the one for administrator, unless you formatted the harddrive the files should be there

just read a bit about elf 1.15 and it seems to be a browser toolbar ,go to tools in your browser and then go to [firefox browser ] addons ,or {IE}manage addons and see if you can uninstall it here

since outlook is a purchased piece of software ,contact Microsoft and tell them your/there outlook 2010 update fudged up you computer

best solution in my opinion is to backup important data and format hardrive and reinstall windows ,

a well treated [not overclocked or abused ] will last for yrs ,either brand

make sure elf is fullt shut down
go start /run/ type in , msconfig, in msconfig check startup tab ,look for anything related to elf 1.15 and uncheck it ,reboot computer,then try removing elf

give malwarebytes a run and after the scan click on view details and check for it to clean items found ,if it finds any ,

your friend could have put any one of a dozen different os on it , maybe he'd be the best one to ask or look on the bottom it should have a sticker on it ,if its windows with the os version written on it

i use caned compressed air ,to clean power supply fan,and most other parts like harddrive and dvd rom ,i also use a soft paint brush to clean video card and motherboard if they are dusty.

if the device is the one in the link in my last post ,then it didn't put the virus on the computer as it's not a storage device ,so it could not have a virus on it,plain and simple

i think the netsetter pendrive device is a g3/g4/cell signal wireless type device , like this one ,http://tinyurl.com/d6sjdm3

Also, bear in mind that thumb (usb flash) drives are a VERY common vector for getting virus infections these days... :-( IE, you might have got this from the device itself!

hi, its not likely a program incompatibility or a virus ,i had one that flickered and it was a wire connecting the computers video device to the lcd . it could be a video device driver ,you could try updating the video drivers.

You can export a sub folder from outlook express as a .csv This will allow outlook 2010 to import your file.

Create a new identity in Express. This will give you a blank address book. In your old address book (original identity), open the sub folder you wish to export. Highlight the entire contents of your sub folder. Right mouse click and copy. Go to your new identity mouse over the blank contacts page (where addresses would be if you already had entries) right mouse click and paste. Do not export from inside the address book, address book apparently is its own software and will only export a wab. Go to the main outlook express (new identity), and use export from the pull down file menu. Select .csv and export. Then import this file into Outlook 2010 into its own folder... yes whew... This is another reason people spend money on apple products.
