no, that board only supports the duel core/core 2 quad cpu's

one like this one supports the i3-5-7 cpus .it has to say in the description that it supports the intel i7 series Socket LGA1156 cpu's ,

haha yes the description is funny,and i deleted half of it already lol. I bought mine here in ireland and paid 100 EUR for it. the OS is win xp profesional sp 2. addionaly i had to buy an external dvd drive (40EUR)and a ext. harddrive 500gb for fourty quit as well. plus the gfx card 35Eur. i think generaly computerstuff is more expensive of here. if i can scratch the pounds together i go for a 2*2gb extensions.

ok i was also told bout quad core, the Phenom II still investigate what that is on d web but is that something i should be looking to have on my pc aswell for sure????

the I5 is a Intel Processor and Phenom2 is a AMD processor ,your choice would be one or the other not both !
what i meant about the 4 gig of ram was you first post said win7 64bit ,and 3 gig ram ,win7 32 bit will only use 3.5 gig of ram ,win7 64bit will use 4 gig and over up to about 128gig or so,
So i was suggesting 4-6 gig of ram for your build .

i would go for at least a i5 and 4 or even 6 gig of ram,win7 64bit will use all the ram

if you got recovery dvd with it or made your own when you first got it up and running ,use it to reinstall win7 ,and don't install the software disk ,it like came with one or prompted you to make one when making the recovery disk ,
or just go to add and remove program and remove all software programs you don't want ,most are only trials anyway,not really sure what all Dell puts on new machines .

so if the battery charges to 80% then use it on the battery till it dies and recharge it again .and again ,also it would not matter if you removed the battery and just used it plugged in ,good luck

i get the same thing sometimes ,only last for a few seconds ,never thought of it as a problem , try changing you desktop background picture to none or if you are using a picture from your mypicture folder try using one from the list of windows ones ,right click on the desktop go to personalize

there are many wasy for laptops to hook to tv's mostly depends on age of laptop ,i hook my 5 yr old Compaq via a vga cable,to my lcd tv , same as one used to hook my desktop to its monitor ,also some laptops have RCA type video connection,that's the yellow plug in ,but I have to a S-Video cable[it looks somewhat linke a ps2 mouse plugin] to hook it to my Plasma ,as plasmas do no vga hookups,[LCD do though ] ,if you used that you have to use a mini pin connection for sound from laptop to tv same goes for vga/svideo connection ,
but they do have HDMI plugs and a lot of newer computer and laptops are coming out with hdmi hookup now ,hdmi transfers bot video and sound

so you need to look for the different connection on the laptop ,and one that corresponds to the tv.they you should be able to use the tv's setup to chose the input source.like vga /hdmi ect ewct

the drive might just do the same thing ,you shouldn't really need the driver ,windows should have it ,did you uninstall the device in device manager to see what happens .

also try removing the data and power cable from it and the motherboard and then plugging them back in

to be safe i would have someone take the file off before you start playing with boot disks ,as one mistake and file could get deleted/formated over , and then you looking at a program to recover them ,ect ect
