Re: Knowing how Dell owners usually treat their equipment, check to see if it is the right speed ram and that there are no mis-matched sticks. A few months ago I sorted 2 identical Dell's out that had 4 different speeds of ram between them for example. | |

Re: Norton is rubbish, get rid of that crapware. Install Avast antivirus from here - [url]http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html[/url], it's free and far far superior to Norton. For your connection problem, go into your internet settings within IE and hit the reset. | |

Re: It seems most likely to me that your PSU (Power Supply Unit) is the probable cause. Have a look at the label on the side of it and see what make and wattage it is. | |
Re: It seems you have found the root of the problem. Corrupted ram will write corrupted data to the hard drive so run a scandisk on it and see if that will fix any outstanding errors. | |
