I resent your idea, Rashkil, that there are some of us who only go on the games and do not provide tech help. Even after I sutract geek lounge and coffee house posts i still have over 2500 posts.

For tabbing between controls e.g text boxes you open up the Properties explorer and edit the value TabIndex. E.g if i was on a control with TabIndex1 and hit tab then i would move to whatever control had TabIndex 2.

Are you running a virus scanner? I have AVG and it likes to kill my signiture and insert its own "Scanned by AVG on : xx-xx-xxxx). Everytime I update it always turns this feature back on which is really annoying. Maybe the same is happening to you?

Thats generally impossible as laptops tend to use power and video cables specific to thier model/range. If you could somehow extend these cables you would have a big task as you would ned to make a housing to hold the backlight and screen together. It would maybe be easier to …

Control panel -> power -> advanced tab You can change what it does when you close the lid - e.g change it from sleep to shut down. And no, violently wiggling the screen is bad. Laptops break easialy.

Frankly RAID isnt worth it. Neither is putting the swapfile on a seperate partition. The only time youll see a boost in that department is if you put the swapfile on a seperate physical disk. Get a PCI cooler or upgrade your fans and thermal compound. The HT is easialy …

Well i know that if i play intensive gaves like far cry alot on my machine, it randomly powers off. I belive that is due to a combination of factors. A: the pc overheating and B: the components drawing too much power

Windows provides an API (Application Progarmming Interface). It is not very well documented , though. And by the way, you can use something like the .NET framework to get things such as disk space very easialy.

It probably overheated and melted. The x1600 needs a lot of cooling. The fan on modern graphics cards is never enough alone, you will always need good case fans and a pci cooler

You do know you need to copy the mysql dlls from the mysql directory to the PHP one and point the PHP config file at them? This is probably as in PHP5 they removed MySQL support (was in by deafult before)

Yes. Use javascript not VBscript. Most big sites use PHP serverside and Javascript Clientside. It has better cross platform capability.

Yeah, just use PHP. What i did for a network support ticketing system was to modify some guestbook code. You aught to be able to do the same thing.
