Can any body put it now as solved
only the orignal post can mark it as solved ,and they never did come back to the thread
Is it the motherboard, ram or something else like capacitors?
you could remove the ram ,try booting ,if it boots you should get contisous beep sound ,you can visually check you capacitors for bulging or leaking tops .
the vista partition, would be the recovery partition .vist recover will pretty much install itself once you start it
AutoCAD
my old dell optiplex 745 with basic onboard video will run most of those programs ,not very well mind you ,but i did use photoshop and a 2d 3d program [just fiddiling around ]at one time ,that is why they reccomend the Quadro i guess ,for best results ,searching google you will get a hundred different answers ,because of peoples preferences ,i don't have a suggestion ,just a bit of insite
but only those who use the programs on a daily bases will have the best answers ,and they are likely to busy to be on help/suggestions forums sharing there opinions .lol
many different choices out there for sure .the very first one in the list offers some nice choices

Search.Babylon.In Chrome, Go to the Wrench icon -> Tools -> Extensions. Uncheck “enabled” next to Babylon and then press the “Remove” button.
You must restart your browser for the changes to take effect.
your first post says you want to create a bootable file, that what the program i posted the link to does ,I used a program like it years ago to create a CD with about 10 different program on it and i main screen with icons liked to the Setup file of each program ,was kind of a nead CD actually
as jorgeM says ,that is how i do it now ,but one day will find the time to use the program in my other post to create a bootale usb
oh come on ,im sure you could come up with a better comment than that ,well you did say "nice"
so after 6 month how did you fix the issue
the choice is yours in this case ,as for not trusting Vista ,whats not to trust ,we have it here on a laptop ,running fine almost 3 1/2 years now , orignal install never a glitch .
if i were you i would check to make sure that the Asus site has all the drivers you will nedd for winxp ,also i would leave the Vista partition just in case you need to go back to it
only if its a removable graphics device will you beable to upgrade it ,most laptops video device is soldered to the motherboard .usually only in highend gaming laptop will you find removable video device ,im guessing you are going to be stuck with what you have ,the : Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD.
its intergrated[not removable ] according to this site
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-4500MHD-GMA-X4500MHD.9883.0.html
look on the bottom of the router ,its there but needs to be typed in exact ,and usually needs IE browser .
http://192.186.0.1
or it also says on the bottom of mine[different model ] it says you can also use http://dlinkrouter
so you have it working ,you just cant log into it via the ip address correct ,did it come with the setup cd .
great ,now i will check mine ,
nope only worked on 25
now you know why it cost so much at the shop, that you need to take it to again ,Im no expert but i have been fixing computer for over 13 yrs now ,self taught and have made some mistakes along the way ,and i cant tell you what happened when you did that with the laptop plugged in ,but if there is spark there is fire[power surge ] ,and it likely burnt/shorted out something ,time to take it to the repair shop
just a bootable file !!!
i think it would only work if the usb was bootable also .
found this with a Google search http://www.visualdesigning.com/autorun-usb/
,seems to me what you would need ,also want something like this myself ,good luck
what is the exact model # of you lenovo, should be on a sticker on the bottom ,lenovo is best known for its business/home class laptop ,im sure they do gamers as well
vaio vpcz1
im sorry, i missed the part that it controlled the bloothoth and wan 3g ,you need a new board i guess
i would try recreating the acct ,new,it might just be a setting mixup
it's a OS for sure ,what firmware runs the device and tell the OS what do do would be device specific im sure
i been here since 2003 and have tried to stop making assumpptions a long time ago as about 55%-75% of OP never comeback
your welcome ,good to hear you got it all worked out ,
wireless switch board
im sure it would be hard to turn on without a switch, the option i see open to you is to buy a usb wireless device ,like this one .

not much detail, please explain a "desktop crash out "
up, my mouse also does this on the web ,sites like on facebook ,and othere large websites like national news site ,pgagolf.com ect ect ,because there is so much crap on the websites that my Browser has to connect to ,it just go on and on connecting to every link on these sites
sounds right,Reverent Jim
no but they do provide the software tools for IT People to use ,Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, not free for everyone ,you create a boot disk with many tools ,one is a password changer ,but i have to say i tried it a few time with no success changing a password , .
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/products-and-technologies/mdop/dart.aspx
As for the OP,we have no way of knowing if they speak the truth ,or are just trying to get into someone eleses computer
i agree with the Rev ,and it has never been policy of daniweb to help crack windows passwords ,
update my win7 can only mean one thing ,update my win7 ,patch and upgrade ,mean patch and upgrade ,totally different than upgrage ,maybe OP will come back and tell us all what they really mean, lol
Anytime i insert a USB device it becomes write protected but on other computers it just works normal
wish i had an answer , never had this issue in my years of using win7 and my 6 or 7 usb devices ,but ,a long list of ideas here ,
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic300492.html
search both drivers ,even the one you recently installed window on ,i have use Free Recuva program with success in the past .
http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download
it didn't askyou to restart when you install the driver ,so did you restart the computer manually to see if made a difference.
.also any chance your computer has onboard video you could try using ,remove the ati video and hook to onboard ,then use the ati tool to remove all drivers ,shut down and install the ati video card
i don't do PM for help, just click on the reply to this discussion [Alt s]link just below this post .
so you are saying you get the blue cyrcle on 2 different computers ,with no programs running ,weird, use autoruns to disable unnecessary programs running at startup .run autoruns go to bootup tab and uncheck programs not needed at bootup, not sure what ones post back a list of ones shown in bootup.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
also try booting up hitting f8 ,should have a run windows repair option at the top of the list
wow you are taking your laptop graphics way to serious ,walk away when you turn it on and off ,turn it on ,comeback in a few minutes and enjoy the laptop
with no programs opened ,computer sitting idel ,does it have the spinning circle or it just when you open programs[ie: browsers ,media players, games ] and try using them
Does anyone know how to add 2 or 3 songs onto a slideshow of iPhoto photos
hi, im not mac user, own an old one but don't use it much ,but first thing i think is how would a simple slide show sound if it had 2 or 3 songs playing in the backgroung ,maybe it's just not an option to add more than one
i do sympathise with you .but if you battery is damaged you need a new one ,and pushing had on the power putton has likely damaged it to the point it need to be replaced also
ATI removal tool ,i would use it then reinstall latest catilyst drivers from ati for your model
http://www.crystalidea.com/download/utool2.exe
driver download ,

http://www.google.ca/search?q=Window+Server+2008+R2+Tutorials&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=rcs
hi, go to start/control panel and go to keyboard ,i have a microsoft curve ,so it shows that and gives me the option to disable or change function keys
Homework ,is not the normal function of this help forum ,but you never know someone might see different; and do your year end project for you
you need to check properties and make sure the SMPT is correctly setup.if you don't know it your ISP can tell you
it is telling you that you are on a secure web page ,like most Bank web sites
i don't think its the motherboard ,get a can of compressed air and blow the dest off the fan and heatsinc ,it doesn't take much to cause them to over heat .or also it could be the bent power cord causing as short
win8 is meant for newer computers
i installed it months ago first release ,and 2nd release just a few weeks ago ,and didn't like the no start button apps list ,just desktop apps icons, meant more for touch screen device me thinks
.
i havent used xp in a few years ,i like my win7 just fine ,does all i need
try hitting f8 on bootup and choose the repair option to repair windows boot
http://www.wikihow.com/Host-Your-Own-Website-for-Free
Hosting on Your Own Computer (Windows)
Make sure that your plan with your ISP permits you to host a website
see in link above section on hosting on you computer, good for checking how your page acts and looks ,may have some draw backs for long term hosting im sure ,good luck
a blank cd ,because the scan needs to run at bootup, not in a cdrom emulator
yeah speecy shows 3 sticks
i would still remove them leaving one in at a time and scan to check each one to find any bad ones .i use memtest86, you can download the iso file and create a bootable disk to run the scans ver 4,0a will do .
http://www.memtest86.com/download.html
http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download/standard
use this link for speecs ,this fourm is weird as to what it doing with my posts edits .
