You don't have to disconnect the router from the computer to reset it. And it some cases, the routers' reset button have to hold down for a certain number of seconds.

perhaps not ,nut my old Belkin manual must have recommended it i wouldn't have retained that piece info .

Believe it or these towers were never meant/or built to run a video card ,just to use the onboard video .having said that as lonk as you make so it get more cool air it should be fine . They are at best built to be used in banks and other institutions ,and don't get used hard and usually only ran a 15 inch monitor ,at present i use a optiples 720 and can only get 1680x1050 from the onboard video .

it depends on your laptops motherboard and bios as to what speed ram it will take ,having said that if the 2700 may be backward compatible and run as a 2100

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, that doesn't work unless you've previously made a back up, which I haven't. BitDefender doesn't back-up things automatically unless you tell it to.

that why we don't recommend people use registry editors as there is no proof they actually help speed up a computer , you should always back up the registry if you find it necessary to edit it .
perhaps you could do a system restore back to the day before you ran the scan with bitdefender ,it may or may not help

hi, i don't use bitdefender but most programs that edit the registry also make a backup so you can restore it back if a problem occurs,so somewhere in bitdefender you find a place in settings or somewhere like that to restore it back

easiest solution is to not let the computer leave your shop until its paid for ,most people who don't have the money to fix it today will not have that money next week ,i to fix computer's from home and know what your up against ,but most all my customers pay me for what i do

I went to turn on My Toshiba satellite the green start button would flicker, turn orange and turn off immediately, guys at local office store said i probley had a short, i took it to batteries plus the guy there tried a new power cord on it and it has been working for a couple years now, I am having another problem now, it locked up, i manually shut it down, at restart it gave f2 or f12 options, i gave f2, asked for password, gave it my screen password, it rejected it, i can't bypass, shut down and restarted 2 more times, got the toshiba logo, froze, restarted, got black screen next 5 times, IT just will start up. I'm ready to throw it out the window or stomp on it, Sooo frustrating. Any help would be appreciated!

it may be overheating ,did you ever clean the fan and heat sinc ,i use can compressed air ,it doesn't take much dust on to cause it to over heat

built in ,means it came per-installed on the laptop by the laptop builder ,they make money from the antivirus vendor[this case Norton] ,its usually only a 60 day trial for you,need to be paid for to continue using it ,No windows operating system come with built in antivirus yet ,but it said that win8 is going to have "Microsoft security essentials" built in

sound to me like a browser popup issue ,after you put in the password and hit enter its sees the next page as a popup and closes it .

if you are using Internet Explorer as you browse,open IE ,go to tools/internet options/general/ go down to Tabs/settings/go down to when a popups is encountered and check of to open popup in a new tab.good luck

you dont .the old laptops lcd needs to run of the video card of the old laptop ,it cant run of the netbook ,

if you do google this you might find them using a old laptop as a second screen ,but they will all be working old laptop ,and they will be using them with a desktop computer not a netbook

nope ,they don't make one ,[well maybe one with just a few more watts than your own or yours actually could be the biggest made to fit that box as i don't know the wattage of yours im only assuming] , that will fit in the box,
your option would be to buy a larger case with a more powerful power supply and move your motherboard to it ,having said that the little Acer was never intended to be a gamer.
