The easiest way to fix this issue is to make Outlook Express your default mail handler. To do this, launch Outlook Express, Click Tools->Options. Then in the Default Messaging Programs, make Outlook Express the default mail handler.

If all else fails, I reccomend running a System Restore. Use this website as a guide to using System Restore.

If your running Windows XP Professional, I reccomend using "Remote Desktop" - its included. In my testing, there is nothing faster then it. FYI, it uses TCP port 3389, that may be useful for ya ;-). For more information, search for "remote desktop" in XP's Help and Support.

Glad to see ya Jimmy! WB! Windows 9x still has its uses. 9x kernel requires very little ram, and can be shrunk down to very small sizes. But your right, the advantages of 2000 and XP are enourmous. However, 2000 and XP have some requirements ;-). In my experience, 2000 …

Before any of that, try replacing the wires. Wires are usually the stubborn link in network connection problems. Here's a little story about an experience with network wires: [thread]37[/thread]

Heh, your always redoing everything ;-). I answered 1600x1280 in the poll, but that isn't the complete truth. I run dual monitors. Monitor 1 (Primary) runs at 1600x1280, and my second monitor runs at 1280x1024, but that wasn't a choice ;-).

Well, first of all, I think your self esteem is to low! Your not stupid (as per your username), its just that you don't have that much experience with this type of stuff. Computers can be messed up, tempermental, and annoying, so try to have some patience when dealing with …

I'm starting a new project (yeah, I need to have more then two concurrent projects!). This project is going to be uncharted territory for me - open source. I call it Blogger.NET, it posts to peoples blogs. Written in C#, compilied to .NET 1.1, its pretty cool ;-). When I …

My favorite OS for servers is Windows Server 2003. Hands down. It can do everything that "other" (::cough::, nix) OSs can do, but much quicker, easier, and it can do more! For desktop use, I love my XP Pro. I can't really talk about it (non-disclosure agreement), but SP2 for …

This is simpler then that - just pop in a boot disk, fdisk your hard drive to one FAT32 partition, and install Windows 98. Piece of cake ;-)

This question might come out of left field, but what video card do you have? What version of the drivers? Theres a known problem with DetonatorFX's (Drivers for nVidia Video Cards) with setting icons. If you change an icon type, it doesn't appear. (And, its rather annoying :-/)

Now, I'm sure I'm offending about 100,000 people by making this post, but "suck it up." Novell (and Windows, for this case) will defeat Linux. Maybe not in a year, but it will come eventually. Why? When you go to a store (or e-store), you can go and pick up …

Never use the "L" word. It isnt as good as you think/want it to be. Reply in the unix section if you want to know more about Lindows.

Hmm... sounds like a bad problem. We need more information to diagnose it though. Operating System, amount of ram, processor, software that runs in the background... etc...

Sorry for the delay.. The current version of ASP.NET Forums do not. However, the next version (which can be previewed at http://forums.asp.net/) does fully support it without any hacks.

ASP.NET Apps run through a web browser. You could hide the web browser into the tray.. but I don't think thats what you want. Your better off writing a WinForms app.

Well, first of all, you don't need to have an operating system on the drive to install an upgrade copy of Windows. Durring setup, Windows will ask you to insert a copy of a prior operating system to verifiy that you are upgrading. Secondly, those disk tools that came with …

What I think he means is mirroring. For instance... as one computer gets changes on its drives, a 2nd computer mirrors the 1st computers changes. Therefore, its constantly syncronized with the other computer. Also, this option brings in a load balanceing feature. If one server has high utilization, the server …

Windows Blinds do have a proformance hit on your computer. The other Visual Styles use the XP Theme Engine, and you shouldn't have a problem or a performance hit with them.
