Re: If configured and used correctly and kept updated with patches then i think they are the same. A well configured windows system and some common sense can be very secure but "out of the box" i would hazard a guess that maybe UNIX based systems are more secure | |

Re: start the windows cd. There is an option for recovery mode where you can reinstall the bootloader. On xp you hit R, login then type fixboot, dont know about vista. | |

Re: you should always use the one labelled number one if you only have one stick as it can cause problems. having it in either 1 or 2 shouldnt make a noticeable performance difference but on some computers they run a LOT faster if each slot holds identical memory | |
