the ssd hdd has no moving parts so you could put that anywhere you want

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

I agree with ronald577 ,go to video device manufactor web site and get latest drivers

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

it might/should fit, most case are a standard width ,but if you are looking for ultimate cooling i would suggest a bigger case, as the link is showing a micro-atx case ,not much space in them for moving air for effincent cooling

yes the bottom 2 are for floppy drives or card readers ,
it been awhile but ise to put harddrive in those slots, try them upside down[the data wont fall off .lol] and see if the holes line up , drill some new holes maybe ,of course remove the motherboard first as not to get metal chips on the board

I have a Dell laptop now that's totally locked in a lsass exe loop.. An so far the only way I see it can be fixed is to have the disk or buy one to recover your pc. I THINK THIS IS ALL DONE BY WINDOWS TO GET PEOPLE TO SPEND $ ON RECOVERY DISKS AN PRODUCT KEYS. It's all a scam.

not true ,you do not have to buy any disk ,you should have created recovery disk when you bought the lDell new ,and if you didn'y contact Dell and they will send you disk ,charging a small fee maybe ,has nothing to do with Windows[Microsft ]

Things that drive me insane: the start menu is not there, the windows button brings you to the apps. .

yeah that what was in the old start menu pluss a few other things ,that you can now get to by right clicking on the start icon that pops up in the lower left corner .different but not so hard .

It is hard to get the pop out menu to appear to shut down ,and for the other settings .just go to the start screen and start typing in settings ,and see what you will find .

i fixed the shutdown by adding it to the desktop right click options .
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/4992-shut-down-add-desktop-context-menu-windows-8-a.html

OH yeah and i know you only poster to add the link in your post ,but hey maybe someone else will be able to use from my suggestions

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

sleep is a feature i never use so i have never had problems with it ,so i suggest to people ,unless you are using a laptop away form a powwer source and really need the extra battery life ,just turn the sleep feature off in power options .

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

give a bootable antivirus a try ,boot computer with a internet connection so you can run the antivirus updates before you run it
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Kaspersky-Rescue-Disk.shtml

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

you could try this ,
Go to the IE ,open tools option in the menu bar, select "internet options" from the drop down. Go to the "Advanced" tab and click on the Reset button below.

if that makes no difference try this ,
changed the following under tools>internet options>connections, LAN settings unchecked the Automatically detect settings, close IE and try again in both cases

dont take it personal , you don't need a phone ,you said that yourself,so don't wast money just to keep up with the jones's when you go out ,your not even working !! you sound like my Daughter still in university and working part-time ,and has a I-phone , she bought out her BlackBerry contract and got the i-phone[different carrier ] ,now shes cool ,and to save her credit rating im out $340.00 for the blackberry ,now at 60 i look cool ,lol
bye bye flip phone

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

no point in even considering buying a smart phone if you don't plan on using it very often ,to get full use out of it you would need a cell package with data and they are not cheap ,so in my opinion ,just a wast of your money to even be consitering buying a smart phone .most of the phones in your link are 400 dollars
the price of the first phone in you list ,is based on a 2 year contract with the seller ,and all kinds of conditions .

I have the same story. I turn on my Gateway p-78 and don't see anything on display. I hear the fans and see the lights, but no sound or video. Attaching it to display though HDMI, removing the battery, disconnecting the power and holding the power button for 30 seconds don't do the thing. I tried to turn it on for about 10 times and then it turned on, but the next day it starts all over again.

time to take the laptop in for service

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

because it come and goes ,i would buy a new keyboard ,assuming it not a laptop ,as they are a little more expensive ,just to try to see if it make a difference

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

question was what does the virus attack first ,just saying

caperjack 875 I hate 20 Questions Team Colleague

hello and welcome to daniweb ,the answer is no, it will wipe what ever drive you choose and if your not carefull it could wipe the whole computer if a wrong selection was made ,
most people who just want to try/play around with linux use a virtual drive software ,the software runs with in win7 and you can use bot linux and win7 at the same time ,i have used Oracle virtualbox software ,not using any at thing this time ,you install oracal vb then download a .iso file of the linux of choice ,run VMbox and direct it to the downloaded linux .iso file location and go from there ,good luck
