What game is it? The computer just doesn't like this one game? Perhaps it has a problem with Radeon mobility cards? I used to have a problem w/ my Radeon and "The Sims" ... it kept randomly restarting my computer (due to a bugcheck, according to the event viewer)

For some reason the flash plugin for IE is saved with temporary internet files. Everytime I clear my cache of temps, I have to reinstall the flash plugin. Do you have IE preferences set to delete temp internet files upon browser shutdown?

Here's what I would do. Use Partition Magic to create two or more new partitions out of the free space on the current partition. One of those should be only a few megs in size, located at the head of the physical hdd, and be the boot partition. This is …

Are you upgrading from a previous version of Windows? Is this a clean install? A new hard drive? What was previously on the drive? Is it a new computer?

Gosh there's a lot you want to do with these drives. I happen to be a fan of PowerQuest Partition Magic, but that's entirely up to you. Now is your 30gig drive partitioned in half, for Windows2000 and WindowsMe? Converting a FAT32 drive to NTFS isn't really a huge problem …

I think we need a bit more specifics. Is there a redraw function by any chance? Are you using QT? Why doesn't putting main() code into a loop work? You mean it doesn't redraw child windows?

First let me make sure you have a directory on the host computer mapped as a drive on the virtual machine, correct? This probably could be done via a batch file although I'm not exactly sure what the copy command for client\*.* to host\*.* is. However, most back-up software should …

It looks to me as if the problem is that you are applying a CSS file (cascading style sheet) to every page. Here's what to do. Go to the Tools menu in IE and then click on Internet Options. The General tab should appear first. Check out the "Colors" and …

Tetris perhaps? How about a simple solitaire game or even blackjack, perhaps? Or tic-tac-toe? Something that would use simple artificial intelligence to have the computer react based on user's actions.

You said you've used Windows2000 and Windows98 without a problem. I take it you're using Windows XP now? On the computer hooked up to the printers, edit the printer shares to make sure they don't require a username or password. Otherwise, on the client computers end, is there a place …

My first intuition would be that perhaps you're behind some form of router or firewall? There's another thread located [thread]638[/thread]that seems to be related to this. You said that quite a few others in your office are experiencing the same problem? It's possible you're all behind the same firewall?? Do …

An application is stand-alone program. It runs in a window in the operating system it's being run on. Back up the entire partitions or just your system files? Linux does include back-up software (at least the RedHat distribution does).
