Re: Its a driver issue. When you reinstall the OS windows uses the standard windows drivers for everything. Go grab the newest ones from the individual manucturers sites. Most important are the graphics card and motherboard (chipset) drivers. After getting the drivers, check Microsoft update for OS patches. | |
Re: Try and flash the BIOS. Some motherboards have a drive limit of ~160gb. Be careful. | |
Re: Welcome! Sounds like a driver issue. I got the switch error on a HP laptop before because the wireless manufaturers driver expected there to be one. I grabed one of HPs site that was for my model, and didnt ask for the switch and was able to get wireless working. | |

Re: Windows is the same! When you do product actuvation it sends a hardware fingerprint to MS. You get a set number (3ish) of allowed critical changes e.g motherboard, cpu and when they are up you have to ring up Microsoft and explain. | |
