Go to the Intel website and use their automated driver update system to find the best graphics driver as it looks like the one you are currently using is either incorrect or faulty in some way. Upgrading from 1gig of ram to 2 or more will make an improvement too!!

Professional data recovery is most likely the only way you will get at your data if the drive is unreadable and will most likely be very very expensive. If data is valuable or important, you should always have a backup.

Start at the beginning. Test your hard drive with hdtune, google will easily find it. If hd tune shows any bad sectors then that's why your laptop is slow and it also means it's time for a new hard drive.

Type regedit in the search box and press enter. Click file then export and give it a name. You will then have a complete copy of your registry. If your new install is the only bootable one (i.e. you overwrote your original) then your old registry is unrecoverable.

The one thing that may help is file cleaner. To run it, type cmd in the search box on your start menu and press enter. In the resulting dos box type sfc /scannow. If it makes no difference then you will need to do what AHarrisGsy suggests.

If the inverter was gone then the screen would be dark. If the cable was faulty then you'd have no output. It's the screen itself, you need to fit a replacement one in there.

Are you using a usb keyboard? Does the motherboard have a ps2 keyboard socket? If so, you may need a ps2 keyboard to get into the bios.

There may be a hardware or software switch for the bluetooth device, you have to make sure it is turned on so that the driver can "see" it.

The microphone plug should be connected to the microphone socket (the pink one), not the line in. Connect it correctly and it will work properly.

Do you mean you have 2 XP installs or do you mean it shows 2 installs to choose from during the startup process? The answer to this will be very useful information indeed as sorting either requires a different fix.

Get rid of that cheap rubbish and get a proper computer. Emachines are not worth wasting any money on as they are built using the cheapest, poorest quality parts available!
