First thing I would do is check for infections. What security software have you got and have you scanned with it recently?

Forther to JorgeM's good advice, remove the motherboard from your case and place it on the antistatic bag it came in. Plug in your power supply's 24 pin connector. Plug in your power supply's 4 pin connector. Plug in your vga cable. Plug in your cases power switch. Turn your …

The GTX 650 probably has a 6 pin power connector on it. Did you fit the 6 pin plug into it?

If you know what you are doing with a computer both programs you mention are a complete waste of system resources and give few if any benefits.

Try creating a new user with full admin rights in control panel, user accounts then see if it will connect in the new account.

First thing I'd do is check the hard drive condition with hdtune (google will find it easily). A failing hard drive can certainly cause corrupted and missing file and if the hard drive is indeed faulty then trying to repair the symptoms is a complete waste of time.

You have most likely damaged your chipset on your motherboard. With a fault like that, the only options you have is to take it to a repair shop or replace it with a new computer.

I'd say scan it with Mbam and Avast (free versions of both are available). It's entirely possible that you have a boot sector nasty. A boot sector nasty can easily survive a full format of the hard drive as even a full format won't re-write the boot sector. I'm not …

Hdd regenerator free version might be able to tell you what the cause of the problems is. Unfortunately it will only repair 1 error unless you buy it. http://hddregenerator.net/ Another idea. Format the drive but don't put any data on it. Then use recuva to get your data back. Recova …

That socket will be soldered, not glued. You may well find a replacement socket on eBay but you will need to de-solder the old socket and solder on the replacement one. If you are not a skilled solderer then you will need someone who is to do the component swap!

Well, a local computer shop where I live does a complete PC with Win 7 pre installed for £275. It's a 2.6 dual core with 4gb ram, a dvd burner and a 250gig sata hdd. I recon that is good value for money and plan on getting one for myself …

There are 2 power connectors to your motherboard. A 24 pin one and a 4 pin one. Make sure both are properly connected. If you have one, also try a pci-e graphics card and see if you get any output from that.

You need to test it out of a pc case just in case it is shorting. Place it on top of the antistatic bag to attempt this.

It could be a fault with the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. If you know what you are doing then you could replace it yourself. If you don't then you will have to take it to a professional.
