i have loosened a few by just simply peeling back the little round sticker on the center of the fan and using a 3in1 type oil,no need to take it apart ,for me in some cases anyway

if it was a problem with explorer.exe you wouldn't see any icons eithor .so as jingda says it likely just hidden or maybe screen resiolution is set to high

hi,try over riding the switch ,if you follow the power switch wire to where it plugs into the mother board ,remove the wire and use a small screwdriver to jump the two pins on the motherboard see how quick it comes on ,good luck
