Re: Open it up and make sure the power and data cables are firmly fitted between your hard drive and motherboard/power supply. You may want to buy and try a new sata cable, they aren't too expensive. | |

Re: It's possible that it's a ram incompatability. It's also possible that the PSU isn't up to the job as the AMD Phenom's are rather power hungry beasts. Are you also using a power hungry graphics card? | |

Re: Seeing as it's sata, any sata hard drive will be ok! I'd recommend that you not exceed 500gig as drives bigger than that seem to less reliable! I put a 500 in my lappy some time back and am very happy with it! | |

Re: Backup and system restore are 2 different things and work in different ways. A backup should contain most if not all files within windows whereas a system restore is more like a "save state"! Have a look at the microsoft website for more info! | |
