"Once you start to seriously consider designing your Web page, rather than just throwing up a bunch of links in a bulletted list, most Web designers start to worry about what resolution to design for. And what this really ammounts to is trying to decide how wide to design your …

Do you get any error messages? What are the Os's? In some cases a machine that hibernates will become invisible on the network. DHCP shouldn't have any effect on this.

Uninstall the drive and reboot. If it doesn't automatically reinstall, you may need to reinstall the drivers.

"open run and search for msconfig" What does this mean? Entering msconfig in the run box should run it. No need to search.
Try to use repair console in windows XP ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's no such thing as "Repair Console". This sounds like a defective/dirty disk. Take a good look at it for dirt and scratches. Try cleaning the disk. You might also try a repair install. It's possible your laptop HD is defective. Did you have any HD issues previously?

If you have the diagnostics CD, try running it: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins6400/en/om/trouble.htm#wp1062918 Load the XP install CD and see if the HD is detected. Run the repair install if it is. You may have a bad drive or other hardware failure.

A fixed IP address is used for certain situations like port forwarding, and it sounds as though you don't need it. To access ipconfig: Start/Run/cmd Type ipconfig at the command prompt.

I've used Vista off and on since the beta, both 32 and 64 bit. After numerous driver and hardware issues I've finally got it (64 bit Ultimate) running stably on my AMD 3200, ASUS A8V Deluxe, 2 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce 6200 I'm using AERO just because I can, but …

Format the disk and try again, after cleaning the disk. Try a lens cleaner also. This time try "skip" instead of "try again", if the error shows up. You may have deleted a restore partition that your install disk needs for some reason, in which case you may need a …

Why "sadly"? Sounds like a worthwhile interest to me. I'd start by visiting existing sites to see if there's a need. That would be a good way to get in touch with fellow enthusiasts to find out what they might want. You could also consider an email list, which could …

Since XHTML is based on HTML, it would make far more sense to learn HTML first. Once you've gotten grounded in HTML, the transition to XHTML will be easy.

Your info is basically correct. Memory limits: 32 Bit: 2^32 addresses available (4,294,967,296)= 4.3 GB. Some of this memory space is limited, as you noted, so only 3.2GB is usually available. 64 Bit 2^64 addresses available (18446744073709551616) 17.2 billion gigabytes This number is limited by the motherboard in question. Objectively, it loads plenty fast for me on my FIOS 15/2 connection. Disappointing that there's no lingerie section, though. I think you'll find this has more to do with your connection than the server.

You can do it, but I'm not sure I understand what you hope to achieve. Are you talking about Internet Gaming? Why not just run an Ethernet cable directly from the router to the basement computer? Most routers have policy restrictions that might help.

Maybe the question needs some re-phrasing? "What should the role of government be." Illustrator is a vector drawing program, primarily designed for graphic artists. Vector drawings can be enlarged infinitely without losing detail, bitmaps can hardly be enlarged at all without …

Try the XP install disk, just to see if it recognizes the Hard Drive. If so, re-install. If not, your HD is likely dead and needs to be replaced. It's possible the IDE connection is loose, but not likely.

You have to install the SATA drivers, and this is covered in the manual. Look for "Press F6 to load drivers" line in the XP install sequence. The drivers are on your mobo install CD or at the ASUS site.

It sounds as though your sound driver is missing. We'll need the make and model of the computer, or the sound card part no. to find the correct driver.
