Hi, Recently I started to encounter a new issue with my 3 year old PC. It sometimes turns off randomly, then turns back on after a few seconds. It can happen anytime, even when OS has not booted yet. Sometimes it turns off and on repeatedly, like struggling to keep powered on. Overheating should not be the issue because it has happened right after I turn ir on for the first time that day. Nothing new has been added or installed recently. Also not overclocked. Could it be a faulty PSU or other hardware? Thanks

Recently, one of my friends on FB asked me a question: Whether can we transfer our iphone voice memos to pc or mac for backup. At once, I answered him roughly: maybe, just a maybe. For I have never done this before, but in order to solve my friend’s question certainly, I have to ask help for you, the experienced iphone users who have a good knowledge of the basic tips and guides about iphone. I bet you can provide more detailed information, right? Thanks for your kindly help. Your answer will be added 100 scores.

Hi Guys, I have just finished setting up a brilliant space in which we have a large TV with the following connected to it: PC, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Windows 8.1 Laptop, The only thing missing, is that I am currently using just the basic inbuild TV speakers, which is a bit of a let down with gaming in particular...!! What I want to do is purchase a 5.1 surround sound system (or better) - wireless if possible, to complete the setup. What I dont know though is what sort of thing I should go for... I have …

Hi. I just wanna ask your opinion.. Which will be the best solution. I have a laptop with faulty screen. I don't think I want to repair it as it cost high. It is 2gb ram,320gb hdd and dual-core. In another hand, my family has a family PC with 512 ram,100gb hdd, pentium 4.. So I'm thinking about instead of using the laptop as CPU (remove the screen) and attach it to the monitor. Can I know what will be the side effect? Does it consume more power to use such that? Will it be dangerous to electrical? TQ in advance! …

Win7/32/laptop: I don't know if this is the correct area or should I be in hardware. I've always understood you go in and click to remove USB hardware from the computer, and that if you don't it will eventually ruin the port, or screw up driver/software. On my wife's laptop two of the three USB2.0 sockets have quit functioning. She never remembers to click before removing. I don't know what goes bad and if there is a possibility of port repair with a driver, or if they've just flat gone bad. Would appreciate any input. We all forget sometimes, and …

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and I have a Dell Inspiron 14 laptop with a touchpad problem. When I use the touchpad, it would highlight everything and click all the buttons when I move the cursor over something. It's like I'm pressing the left button selecting constantly, while obviously I'm not. I think it might be a hardwire issue, but is there any possibility to fix it without sending it to Dell? It would be great if you guys can help me out!!!!! Thanks! Nathan

Kryten is a Series 4000 mechanoid, the neurotic robotic servant appearing in cult British sitcom Red Dwarf. So what's he got to do with your computer, apart from the somewhat stereotypical link between geeks and science fiction? Well, the Kryten character was played (in all but the first appearance) by the actor Robert Llewellyn. An actor who has been hired by computer upgrade outfit Crucial.com to present an information video encouraging people, surprise surprise, to upgrade their laptop memory rather than throw it away just because it's running slowly or freezing regularly. ![ce91a16f66af05daf4f939c7df75db0c](/attachments/small/0/ce91a16f66af05daf4f939c7df75db0c.jpg "align-right") Crucial has undertaken research recently which …

Hi, I am planning to build a budget gaming PC with the price limit of roughly £400. I have found a group of components that add up to make roughly £350 and I was wondering whether these components are worth there money, if it will be good enough to play games well on medium graphic settings and what needs upgrading for future proofing. The aim is to build a cheap PC and as o gain more money I can buy better components as the next gen comes out. Here are the components minus the PSU: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd10ezrx http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/patriot-memory-psd34g13332s http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-f2a85vpro http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-ad641xwngxbox http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx650e2gd5

Hi, I have this idea to control a PC remotely using sms. Here is how I would do it. 1.Facebook allows users a lot of control over their accounts through sms including private messages. So, getting the message to facebook through sms is easy. But the PC has to take the message from the facebook server which is the trouble. Facebook messages cannot be accessed through a curl script. 2.So I searched for command-line based ircs that can log in to a particular room and receive commands from my mobile irc client. But that wouldn't work either because cmd based …

Recently I had a new motherboard installed to replace my old one that overheated. The new motherboard is a MSI H55M-E23 that has an Intel core i5 650 chipset installed. After getting all the drivers to work, I then installed my old XFX Geforce 9500 gt (512mb gddr3) in the pci-e x16 slot. When I went to turn my pc back on it wouldn't boot. I then removed the graphics card from it's slot and it booted up just fine. The same thing happened with my DIAMOND XtremeSound 5.1/16 bit Sound Card when I put it in the PCI slot. …
